Character Preview: Goblin Shaman

    "A goblin of keen intellect with a fearsome talent for the dark arts, she serves as her tribe's spiritual mother and guides them as a shepherd would her flock. Little is known of these reclusive goblins, but firsthand accounts paint them as eccentric and depraved witches that would as soon eat you as use you as a sacrifice for one of their arcane rituals. By imbuing one of their curse dolls with the likeness of their foe and devouring it, they are able to place powerful hexes on their opponents and even completely subdue them without ever coming near. It seems this ability extends to their allies, as well, as they have been sighted feeding these dolls to their fellow goblins, possibly bolstering their abilities through curse magic.

    Knowing what I do of these shamans, I was prepared for the worst when I first encountered one. However, to my surprise what I found was a gentle and nurturing individual who patiently guided the goblins around her, almost as a parental figure. She seemed removed from the food chain, never did I see her eat another goblin, and never did I see another goblin attempt to eat her. Even the livestock were well cared for by her, as she ensured they were not eaten or overbred and had all their basic needs met. Oh yes, the rumors were true, she was every bit the monster she was said to be, but among her fellow goblins I could see her true to be a creature devoid of malice, fueled purely by her intellectual curiosity and maternal instincts.

    Unfortunately, it seems she took a liking to me, and when she attempted to usher me inside her womb I knew my time in that village was up. I quickly made my escape, but I still shudder to think what may have happened had I accepted her offer..."

GENERAL UPDATE:

    The final goblin is here! You probably thought there were just going to be three again, right? In the future, MGs will be coming in any number of variants, some in groups like this, possibly some just on their own. Doing four honestly did end up being a pretty big undertaking though, so it will most likely be rare that they come in groups of more than three.

    In other news, the patch will be out tomorrow evening! After that's live, I'll get started on adding in the goblins to the game so you can actually see them, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all think. Thank you so much for all of your patience and support!
