Unit Concept: Demon King

    So, normally I wouldn't do a concept post for a unit that's already concretely planned to be in the game, but I had a dream last night for a character like this that I like way better than my previous concept for her, so I'm kind of doing a spur of the moment write up to share what I came up with.

    My original plan was to have the dark lord-type antagonist be kind of a generically sexy, powerful-looking succubus/demon. She served as a shadowy villain for most of the game, dispatching minions to get in the player's way, until things climaxed with a final battle in her castle. And I mean, she'd be hot and evil, but that's kind of it? Overall, she was pretty vague as a threat and too bland of a character.

    The new concept for the demon king is of a tall, slim woman with an androgynous figure. She wears a black ceremonial military uniform with a golden trim and a long coat, and has a shaggy mess of deep red hair reaching down to her knees. Two massive dark purple horns curve upwards, before pinching in over her black cap. She's a far cry from her oversexed counterpart, with her outfit not even being tailored to allow for vore without disrobing.

    A tomboy through and through, she may even be mistaken for a guy at first. While she's supremely proud and confident, she's also rather spoiled and immature. She strongly believes in survival of the fittest and the principle that the weak are meat the strong shall eat, but in practice she has a just heart and looks out for those weaker than her, only eating those that are foolish enough to challenge her. She's the type to follow her heart and not think too deeply on things, so this doesn't present a contradiction for her.

    While she's more benevolent than the original version, the player will learn that, unbeknownst to her, she presents an existential threat to the world and must be stopped. Besides that, her tower is the peak of magical research, and is the best hope you have of finding a way home. Meanwhile, she'll be aware of the player's existence and may even have a clandestine meeting with them early on, but because of her personal beliefs she's unconcerned with the inter-dimensional group of futuristic super soldiers that are currently ravaging their local ecosystem and, if anything, welcomes the challenge should it come to it. Out of curiosity, though, she sends the Dusk Lamia to spy on the player.

    She's also spoiled rotten by her Dusk Lamia attendant and called cringe-inducing pet names like snooky pookums. She seems to enjoy this, and loves to be pampered by other people, too.
