"The cruel and bloody Harpy Duchess, debauched rulers of Celaeno. A tribe of six-winged harpies, treated as the born leaders of the harpy people. Extreme danger! Avoid at all costs! While not especially strong on their own, each is surrounded by an army of harpies which serve at her beck and call. If you have the misfortune of encountering one, your best chance of survival is to immediately prostrate yourself and grovel. Appeal to her vain nature, and make yourself appear to be a lowly creature unworthy of her attention.

If this fails, attack, and pray that you are eaten by one of her guards. Duchesses have no shortage of food, and if they take an interest in you it will likely be as a plaything rather than a meal. There are many tales of adventurers forced to become an instrument of entertainment for their depraved mistress until they are ultimately discarded like broken toys. Given the power of a Duchesses forces, there is no chance of winning combat unless you have an army of your own.

Fortunately, you are not likely to ever encounter one unless within the heart of the Grand Duchy. Even if cutting through the fields of Celaeno, any Duchess would be passing far overhead with her entourage, the two of you no more than a speck to each other. As the saying goes, don't go looking for trouble and trouble won't come looking for you."
