Your Money Update #14
Added 2023-03-06 06:23:57 +0000 UTC$83.07 of your Patreon donations went toward Patreon's various fees. The return of Merch tiers a couple months ago means these are a bit higher.
Speaking of Merch, $14.50 went to Patreon for them to print and ship a delightful Licentia logo mug to one of my dedicated users. Thanks for your support, friend! For the rest of you: if you spent a lot of time with my list and would like to commemorate it somehow, why not pick up something of your own?
$5.00 of your Patreon donations went to support Kreiste, the creator of HIMBO.
$5.00 of your Patreon donations went to PureDark, for the ENB-compatible version of the Skyrim Upscaler mod.
I finally remembered to cancel my donation to Pascal Gilcher for his PTGI shaders after deciding I don't much like their effects for Licentia during gameplay. They ruin the lighting's balance too much!
$139.15 went to Spectrum Communications for my cable bill, which covers 400Mbit Internet, television (for my elderly Aunt), and phone, which is kind of a bitch because all services have been out for over 48 hours due to a wind storm in the area. Here's hoping I don't wind up with a Scrab situation, with new zoning and land rights negotiations being necessary that put me without service for a month or more.
It's funny the rumors that go around in a rural area. Supposedly Spectrum had to pay a mint to run some poles on this cantankerous old mountain man's heavily-forested property, and every time one of his ancient-ass trees blows over he kinda has them over a barrel, making everything way more difficult to fix.
I like to think this person is Crazy Gun-Firing Man, out in the hills in front of me. At least thrice a week he goes out to his home-made range or whatever and just blasts away, barely taking even the time to aim his weapon. Bill, who frequents establishments packed with similar individuals, told me he's probably doing it for catharsis and doesn't even have sights on the damn thing. "He's just throwing money down-range is all it is," were his exact words, spoken with great disdain.
$15.99 more went to Spectrum to upgrade my cell phone plan to Unlimited so I can use the Hotspot for minimal online support. They reduced the price of my Aunt's unlimited line by $30 though, so the net increase is something like $5. I think it's worth it to remain available, and being completely without Internet sucks!
$42.06 went to my local water company for their services, which remains pretty steady after a leak was resolved several months ago.
Now I've got a bit of a full disclosure to add. I kinda wasted the remaining $38.38 (and a little more) after my discovery of DoorDash and all the amazing promotions they offer to new users. It's nice to eat that instantly gratifying food! This will probably go back to breakfast cereal, baloney sandwiches and air-fried chicken after those promotional periods end.
Overall I am doing far better than last time I wrote. My credit score continues to creep up as balances go down, and I have enough put back for even the most punishing of tax responsibilities, due April 15th. The destroyed teeth still need to come out (badly) and I don't yet have a way to pay the $3000 necessary to get them all extracted, but I'm hoping I can garner enough "cred" to be able to put them on a healthcare financing plan eventually.
Subscriptions to my Patreon go up and down with the passage of time, which I'm used to, but are a bit down from the period two months ago when I was very active with updates, which is also expected. Installs for Wabbajack lists are also way down overall, and my list is no exception, so all of this comes with the territory. If you can find it in your heart to offer a little assistance until I get the time to update the list properly, please consider making a donation via one of the many methods available on CACOPHONY.ME.
As always, your support is appreciated and extremely gratifying to me.
Signing off for now,
Caco
