Your Money Update #21

So far on Patreon, I have received $340.22 in October donations.

$67.25 of your Patreon donations went toward Patreon's various fees.

$35.55 of your Patreon donations went toward the third payment of a financing plan I set up for Starfield Premium Edition. I haven't really played much yet besides the standard Bethesda intro I'm certain will be really popular to skip before long, but its purchase will benefit you in the end because you know I'll be Johnny-on-the-Spot as soon as decent body, skin, and NSFW mods are released and stable.

$211.00 of your Patreon donations went toward providing the electricity I use to do my work. My paranoia has me feeling that my Aunt somehow manipulated the thermostat to show a higher temperature than reality -- it consistently says 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but it feels just as cold in here as ever. My logical mind, though, reminds me that my medications affect my body's ability to regulate its own heat.

The remaining $26.42 went toward my cable + Internet bill of which some also came from Discord subscriptions, which I will detail now.

For August of 2023, I received $253.45 in Discord income. This number is up a bit and I see new subscribers add payment all the time, which is heartening because it tells me I must be doing something right.

A flat 10% was taken off the top from the original value for Discord's fees. Discord doesn't provide me information about the Gross, only the Net, so I don't know the exact value of those fees.

$169.93 of your Discord subscription fees provided the rest of my cable bill. The total number is pretty consistent given the extensive packages I have to make my work as efficient as possible, but it varies a little each month due to utterly inexplicable taxes and hidden fees.

$35.55 of your Discord subscription fees provided the fourth and final payment for Starfield. I may not be playing it, but at least it's paid for!

The remaining $47.97 of your Discord subscriptions went to pay down a credit card I have been using as a "buffer" between my grocery expenses and my "real" money. By using the card and keeping balances low I hope to build enough credit for emergencies, as well as to pay for an upcoming dental surgery without it coming out of pocket. Score is 605 right now so things are looking up!

I also received $25.00 in Nexus Mods payments as a payout from Donation Points accrued via your downloads of my list.

I put $9.54 of this money toward keeping my Shopify store on hold, which I don't use but they changed their terms of use to require payment anyway. Capitalism!

The remaining $15.46 of the Donation Points payout was used to purchase the latest DLC for Real VR Fishing which I play to chill out sometimes with my brother and an old high school buddy who both live out of town. Most of my family and friends my age left my small rural 'burg for greener pastures long ago, but I'm still stuck here due to health concerns and responsibilities to elderly family members.

No merch shipped this month. Most of my own Patreon donations have been paused.

School is going well, and I have powered through the entirety of one class. It's "Cybersecurity Fundamentals" and it's rather a joke because it duplicates a lot of information in the Networking Class. But I'm given to understand that meaningless busywork that basically teaches you nothing is a staple of almost all college courses.

Still no prospects on the job front. I haven't had the courage to get back out there after having my offer for a remote tech support position so rudely and suddenly rescinded after I provided my résumé. They had already scheduled the damn interview and still yanked it right out from under me!

Now for the good stuff. Licentia QUESTS is now available as a very early version on MEGA, if you want to stop by the server and grab the link. I decided to go back to the old method of maintaining my crazy number of variants in one huge list, so within one installation you will also find the old SUMMER PROFILES of COMBAT, NEEDS, and SLOOT, as well as the latest version of the basic BLACK. All have been updated with the latest mods and reported to be reasonably stable. The new profiles are not without minor bugs though.

Please visit my Discord server to keep up with the latest information on Licentia and all the modlists I have to offer. I now feature a Cyberpunk 2.0 list by my team member @Gallahorn which has been fully updated for the latest version of the game and provides for some really amazing screenshots. You can also find Happy Fun Times, a punishing, ERP-heavy list for Skyrim by @Total, Wasteland of Depravity, a massive NSFW list for Fallout 4, Tahrovin, which brings NSFW to Skyrim VR, both by @iAmMe, and my own humble Fallout 4 list Parabellum which offers the first stable list with NSFW and all of Sim Settlements 2. Oh, and there's also @Jamie's Darkest Dungeon thing.

Hope to see you there, and thanks again for your support and encouragement.
