Added 2024-04-05 22:49:54 +0000 UTCJust a few moments ago, I received the below DM from Discord Administration regarding server monetization. It's most likely a bot of theirs.
Their policies about NSFW content haven't changed, but they are pretty strict. I also attached an image from their TOS.
When I first read them, I wanted to de-monetize the server, but they didn't offer that option.
So I decided to keep my head down and get lost in the shuffle rather than poke it out and get it bonked.
Now, Discord Administration appears to be showing greater interest in enforcing TOS.
This is the first message I have received about the policy since I started.
Their response to any TOS violation is to delete the server and implement mass IP bans, often without reason or appeal.
Also attached is a thread from Reddit about a particularly extreme example.
