Your Money Update #27

First a bit of a note on my health. It has taken a downturn for the summer. I do not know if mental and emotional difficulties will allow me to work as efficiently on profiles and commissions. It's the depressive cycle of a disorder that used to be called "Manic Depressive" before that became uncool to say. These typically last for a few years and involve lethargy and lack of motivation. You can read about my previous experiences with them on https://cacophony.me if you are curious. If you are donating due to my work efforts, you may wish to take a breather until I get better. But, of course, any assistance you can provide during this time will be greatly appreciated. I just can't guarantee that it will get you anything.

I decided to hold off on these money reports until a month later so my customers could get a full picture. That said, here is the Money Report for May.

In May, I have received $703.28 in Patreon subscription donations. Of this, $161.68 was taken up by Patreon's Payment and Platform fees, leaving me with $541.60.

$118.00 was almost immediately spent on the previous month's minimum credit card payments. These balances were created mainly with tech purchases and incidental expenses, so maybe a bad investment for you.

$220.11 of your Patreon subscription fees went to pay my Cable TV and Internet bill. This has grown significantly because of the elimination of a government credit I was receiving due to the COVID pandemic. This bill has only grown even further for June, so I am probably going to have to research other Internet options and maybe get rid of the TV, which I keep for my Aunt. It will probably involve a big reduction in speed.

$92.54 of your Patreon subscription fees went to pay my mobile bill for both me and my Aunt. This is also through my Cable company, and I doubt they will offer service to me if I cancel the TV & Internet, so I may need to look into phone options as well. But the phones are paid off, so I won't have to worry about losing those.

$212.00 of your Patreon subscription fees went to keep the lights on, which is necessary for me to provide my modlists.

That's about it. The remaining $16.95 I probably spent on a hamburger or something.

In case you are not aware, Discord monetization has been completely disabled on Jolly Co-Operators (my server) to comply with Discord's NSFW policies. So any of you who have lost your special VIP roles and backstage access may need to offer support via Patreon instead. The new income amount from Patreon is currently almost identical to the old Patreon + Discord so I doubt there are many of you.
