Your Money Update #29
Added 2024-08-07 22:29:33 +0000 UTCHard Topics and the other social channels on Jolly Co-Operators have become a bit of an Albatross around my neck. For that reason, I have decided to split all social functions for my hostile personality off to a separate server. If you want to hang out and chat, please consider joining, but for now, membership is request only. I hope by doing this I can foster an environment better suited for my prickly personality that will risk less dramatic blowback against my primary community.
If you want to join in, you must request access from one of the subscriber channels (or just search around, I dropped a link in there somewhere). And you must always be aware of my condition -- I am partially bipolar; it is almost a guarantee that if we have a difference of opinion, I will deliberately try to antagonize you at some point. Try not to let it damage the value of other services that I provide mostly without proper compensation or acclaim.
Please remember that these reports are now delayed by one month to provide a full financial picture. The information in this post is relevant for July.
In July, I received $765.17 in Patreon subscription donations. Of this, $145.91 was taken up by Patreon's Payment and Platform fees, leaving me with $619.26.
Thanks to rather hostile negotiations on my part -- and as I alluded to in last month's Report, -- my Cable Bill was reduced to $62.99 by canceling the Cable TV and threatening to cancel the whole shebang. I have switched to YouTube TV to keep my Aunt happy for Football and Basketball Season (which I strongly recommend to anyone) and I upped it to the Pro 4K plan which allows me to share with as many family members as I want, so my Brother is on there now and splits the bill with me. Total savings were around $200, so, a Win-Win for all concerned.
$212.00 of your Patreon subscription fees went toward the Electric Bill, which should be relatable without further explanation.
$100.00 of your Patreon subscription fees went straight into the Savings Account I hold with an online Credit Union. I will eventually use these savings with a Student Dentist to pull my rotten-ass teeth. This is the first time I've been able to put anything back in a while.
$92.54 of your Patreon subscription fees went toward cell service with the same company (Spectrum) that I use for the Internet. The cost is so high because I pay for a massive hotspot, which allows me to continue providing online support even when the Internet service is interrupted due to outages or maintenance.
$47.64 of your Patreon subscription fees went toward the water bill which is rather high due to a faucet leak in the bathroom that I can't afford to fix. I did put a strainer plug in there so I would stop dropping pills and vitamin tablets down the drain.
$37.64 of your Patreon subscription fees went toward the aforementioned strainer plug and some Puppy Pads for the ancient stray mutt that my Aunt took in several years ago and never properly potty-trained. I figured it was more functional to let her pee on a pad rather than force her to stay locked up in my Aunt's cramped bedroom.
The remaining $66.45 of your Patreon subscription fees was split up among several Credit Card minimums, cards which I maxed out like trailer park trash rather than using to build credit as I intended. Sometimes the Po' Boy never really leaves you.
Thanks for your Time and Attention and all the Support you have given over the years. Even if we part on bad terms, I will always remember the times we shared.
