Update: what da bun doin?

Hhiiii!

Apologies for being so distant this past year, it's been difficult for many reasons. Without going into too many details, IRL was a lot, and my time and energy has been consistently drained. The current worldwide situation with covid took a mental and physical toll; I've developed concentration issues and felt like I've had to cope with eating and other unhealthy behaviours. I was also having to support two people on the money I've made from just commissions, and this meant that I was crunching constantly just to make it month to month, and then getting burnt out and having to work even harder as a result.

Thankfully the last couple months have been a lot better, I've been able to move in with my best friend/partner in a cute place in the inner city, and we're both slowly getting ahold of our lives again. Money and bills are still a looming threat, but I've been trying my best to get through work behind the scenes. I'm hoping that by the end of this year I'll be almost caught up and can start taking on more commission work.

That said, I do feel guilty about not posting here in so long! I'm so so thankful for the people who've kept supporting all this time, I couldn't have done it without you. 

One of the issues I've been having with finding content to post is, so much of my work recently has been for vtubers; models that they will use for occasions at their own discretion and in their own time. This means that until they've debuted it I cannot show or post them anywhere, a big difference from when I was just doing furry animation/vrchat commissions and could post wips/streams/renders whenever! I'm fine with it, because that's pretty much how all industry art is, but it has meant that it looks like I've been much quieter/less active this year. 

In the meantime I want to find other ways to show my appreciation, and one of those ideas is streaming work/chat! It depends on who I'm working with and how much of their model they want revealed, but I'd love to just stream my work days and hang out with people at the same time, show my workflow and techniques and help people with their own stuff too. It'd be like a 50:50 ratio of art bunny and gamer bunny, because I'd love to stream some of my favourite games like FFX-2.

I even got my sona model set up in VSeeFace so I could be just like a real vtuber too! Thanks to SweetCheeks for helping me acquire an iPhone X for the facial tracking, and Kana_Fuyuko on twitter for help with setting the expressions up.

Once I'm able to afford a proper microphone, I'm going to set up a proper streaming schedule and go from there! I don't really expect/want a lot of viewers, but if it could be something fun/comfy for my friends and patrons I'd be happy.

Anyway, thank you to my Patrons again for being so supportive. As said in the previous post, all $10 tier model downloads have been reuploaded in a big .rar file which has been attached to that post. They're all set up in Blender, and there's a couple of models in there that nobody else has seen before, so hopefully they're worth the wait.

Even if I can't provide new models every month, I'd like to keep updated with blog/journal-type entries just as frequently to keep people updated on life + commission openings.
