Rethinking my page design...

I've been playing around with ways to adjust how my pages are laid out that will allow me to use more storytelling techniques from traditional print comics. For example, the page above is a nine-panel grid with a white border around the edge. The advantage of having that border is I can choose to remove it for the one panel on the top left, and now that panel has more emphasis and it makes the room she's walking into seem even larger.

Anyway. I've also been working on another edition of The Final Round for the $20 tier that'll be up this week, so you'll start seeing pages soon.

Oh, and on that note, I have to give credit to a couple of artists that have inspired me to go that route including Buster Machine Arts with their Tifa/Scarlett story (https://www.deviantart.com/bustermachinearts) and DesertLion3d (https://www.deviantart.com/desertlion3d) on top of YOUR work.

For the stuff I do, I've also been re-thinking page layouts. Up until this point, the vast majority of my pages have been single images in a 1024x796 frame. On occasion, I'll split that up 2-way or 3-way, maybe 4-way. But I recently used ChatGPT (I know...) to ask it for ideas on various ways to split out that 1024x796 frame. It wasn't great in the ideas it spit out, but it really helped me come up with many new layout ideas. At a certain point, I plan to start using those to create a better feeling of action/reactions.

I love the blonde training for her next bout in these pics as well.
