The red-haired girl in the background of Xander and Cordelia in The Bronze then walks past Xander at school. She's the one who blew everyone off because she was sitting next to him. In The Bronze, the scene is just set up so that you don't pay attention to anything else but Xander and Cordelia.

2023-09-22 15:07:30 +0000 UTCWe were told in 1x01 that vampires are made when the vampire drink the victims blood and then the victim drinks the vampire's blood. They do not talk about a delay but we can infer from the various times that we see someone before and after that it takes less than a day. About having a box of tissues nearby: It was obviously not needed for this one but some episodes do really hit hard in the feels so it's a good advice.
