2025-08-20 18:40:05 +0000 UTCHi there! I work as school security, and I can say with confidence that yes, Summer School is still a thing, I worked it this past June. Its meant for catch-up or in some cases, getting ahead for the coming school year. As for detention, the after-school detentions are basically extinct. In-school suspension is basically the replacement for that. And Saturday School is still very much a thing, but good luck finding teachers willing to work it and getting the kids to actually show up.
