Hobbs and Shaw (Spoilers)

They focus pretty heavily in the film that Brixton (Elba) works for someone. We just never see him, and he communicates through what sounds like a computer to mask his voice. In a post credits scene it is revealed to be Keanu Reeves.
Outside of that, you get a bit of backstory with Shaw, and he used to work with Brixton, and he had killed him. This secret organization brought him back to life and created the super soldier style program that has him alive now. Kinda feels like a way to bring back Han...
Hobbs also has a bit of back story fleshed out. He hasn’t been home for 25 years because his dad was a criminal and he had turned him in and his family disowned him for it.
There are quite a few other surprising cameos...from Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart.
Ryan Reynolds is a CIA Agent who has a history with Hobbs and is the guy who recruits him for the mission.
Rob Delaney who was Peter in Deadpool 2 has a role as the cia agent who recruits Shaw.
Hart is an Air Marshall on the plane who ends up securing them passage to Soma for the third act.
