STORY LINE. An unprecedented disaster strikes Los Angeles when a ten thousand foot wide sinkhole opens up near the La Brea Tar Pits, swallowing countless people, buildings and cars. Emergency search and recovery teams set up camp at the edge of the hole but admit the drones they've sent into the hole lose contact at 8,000 feet. Meanwhile, deep inside the Earth are the survivors, scrambling to make sense of their surroundings, a world populated by animals that once roamed the Earth thousands of years ago. As families struggle to survive in this strange new world - their loved ones above have not lost hope - and are determined to find them...
