Female, 60s-early 70s, a traditional Korean woman, Umma is Amanda's mother; she wears a conservative, tight, bun, and never smiles. When Umma's ashes are brought in an urn to Amanda's home, Umma begins to make her presence known, eventually revealing herself as a tormented spirit who is desperate to reunite with Amanda, the daughter that left Umma to die alone in Korea many years ago. Must be fluent in Korean. Ideally, we are seeking a well-established actress from Korea but will also consider great working Korean actresses in America and Canada. ...SUPPORTING LEAD

In his late 60s, Korean, a slightly unkempt man, Mr. Kang is Amanda's uncle, Umma’s brother. Visiting her for the first time, Mr. Kang is shocked by the state of her home, and plainly expresses his disapproval of the way she treats family. Not wishing to stay much longer, he leaves her with an ominous task. Must be fluent in Korean...SUPPORTING
Storyline: AMANDA (Sandra Oh) and her teenage daughter, CHRIS's, isolated, co-dependent existence comes under threat when they become haunted by the ghost of Amanda's estranged mother, forcing her to confront her buried past in order to protect her daughter's future.
