Great reaction great movie but not gonna lie was waiting and expecting Harry Potter lol

They never tell us why the cycle started. I think it is because he gets hit in the head with a shovel in the beginning of the movie while he is on the phone. Fun movie, glad you guys liked it.

A very pleasant surprise, and nice reaction. This movie is also notorious in that it sparked a feud between Bill Murray and director and long-time friend Harrold Ramis that was not reconciled until shortly before Ramis's untimely death. While checking out older polls, I noticed My Big Fat Greek Wedding was a previous loser. I'm kinda surprised Ms. Rom-com Amber hasn't seen it already? It'd be a nice choice for Valentine's day, just around the corner. One of the few rom-coms that doesn't rely on some contrived misunderstanding and/or break-up to make a predictable Act III chase/reconciliation that so many films of the genre rely on. In reply to a previous comment, I also mentioned another notable love story on film, An Officer and Gentleman. You could pair it with a music channel reaction to the #1 hit song from it's soundtrack, "Up Where We Belong." It's a bit more of a love story from a guy perspective, so maybe a nice compromise for Jay.

Actually, the big movie shade thrown Oklahoma's way that always stuck out to me was Officer and a Genteleman. I'm sure someone in that state got tired of hearing about the two things that ever come from there.

I definitely wish for Bill & Ted`s Excellent Adventure as well. And I`m been requesting the opening track of the movie performed by Big Pig called Break Away for female friday several times. Sherine Abeyratne has a power voice and the drumming is amazing on their version of the also great Chuck Jackson original. As for a new Tom Cruise movie I absolutely hope for Jerry Maguire. A perfect romantic comedy for both Jay and Amber about sports as well. Especially since they have seen A Night at the Roxbury recently now, I`m sure many of us here want them to react to the scene that they all ready have seen spoofed in Roxbury without knowing it was taken from this Tom Cruice movie. I vote for Jerry Maguire to be the next romcom to watch, all though Sleepless in Seattle with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan would be one of the better choices too!

When this movie came out people told me to go see it about a guy who ives the same day over and over. I said that's stupid I'm not going watch that. When I finally did see it I loved it.

Also, you gotta watch Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Steve Martin and Michael Cain. Oklahoma is mentioned in the movie in a very funny way.

BlueEyedRaven

The author of this story said that Phil actually spends about 10,000 years reliving the same day.

BlueEyedRaven

Fun Fact. Bills brother Brian Doyle Murray Played Buster Green are also in this movie. He was also the Head Greens Keeper in Cady Shack

Christopher Puttre

Oh yes on both! Willow was my favorite as a kid along with Legend with Tom Cruise and Bill and Ted became my favorite as a teenager to now.

in Canada, we're expected at work after 18 inches

Groundhog day is such a good movie, and it gets referenced all the time in popular media when referring to time loops. You guys forgot that Bill Murray was in Ghostbusters. I hope you guys watch Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Willow

Pannath

Yeah I am glad you watched it . It has meaning and a thinker. Love the truck and groundhog driving . ( this was actually filmed in Woodstock Illinios. ) Bill Murray was also in Ghostbusters you did.His brother ( The mayor) Brian is in a lot of movies with Bill.

Lisa Rhodes

42 is also a fantastic idea!

Black History month movies: There is also 12 years a slave, Selma, 42 ( I know it’s a baseball movie but it has to do with what Jackie Robinson had to put up with.) Glory and Lincoln were great as well.

Mary Alice

Really a surprisingly deep movie.

steve devoll

Oh yeah! Great movie!!

Happy Groundhog Day!!! This proud Pennsylvanian says thank you for reacting to this movie today ♥️

Happy groundhog day to you Rob Squad! I, down here in Georgia, have an early spring headed my way! So, have a safe warm extended winter! Honestly, I was hoping to catch Harry Potter 5 today. We're getting into the thick of the series and I'm excited to continue it! Maybe Movie Monday? I also hope you got my suggestion of viewing Close Encounters of the Third Kind now that you've seen E.T. It's a great follow-up. It's an informal double feature of friendly aliens being on Earth and this movie really makes you think a little bit. You have to see it. So, next in-between movie, can it be this one? AND, I have one more idea. I say we should watch a couple of Black History movies. I submit the movies Glory, Amistad, Glory Road (sports movie Jay) and Lincoln. These are some of the movies that touch on sensitive subjects of BH and would be wonderful additions to your channel's library.
