It is a super simple story but it takes you on a ride that is so much fun. I believe Speed was Sandra's first costarring role and it was Keanu's first lead as a big action star. It greatly enhanced both their careers. It was the surprise summer hit of 1994. People went in with low expectations and came out with minds blown.
