This is the proper time line order, NOT the actual release order.

And while we're on the subject of Westerns, 2 of the All-Time greatest movie cowboys are #1 "The Duke" John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood. ANY Western with these actors are great. I personally am fond of "The Cowboys" and "The Shootist" from John Wayne, and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" and "The Outlaw Josie Wales" from Clint Eastwood. Another great, yet underrated Western is "The Long Riders". Also, "Silverado" is nothing like "Tombstone". It is, without a doubt, one of the great Westerns ever. Back to my original point. For the most part, I agree with your assessment. However, just because a movie is older, like "The Searchers", doesn't make it better OR worse. For example, "Citizen Kane" is considered "...The Greatest movie ever made. I personally can't stand it. Yet, my OPINION notwithstanding, is mine. While I truly LIKE the remake of"True Grit`, I LOVE the original. Which of our opinions are right? Can't they both be?

2023-02-17 02:41:21 +0000 UTCJust to clarify for them, "The Unforgiven" is a 1960 western starring Burt Lancaster. The Clint Eastwood one is just "Unforgiven". And neither is the best western of all time, but that's just my opinion.

Unforgiven is great, a bit dark though Tombstone you’ve done - Silverado is similar, all star cast, funny, and great shoot outs The Outlaw Jose wales has a few good scenes, but overall isn’t that great Nobody is going to watch a reaction to The searchers , too old and obscure Unforgiven Silverado True grit ( newer version) High plains drifter
