2023-05-16 03:03:49 +0000 UTCThere is an episode of Stargate SG-1 where the topic of immaculate conception comes up, and all the humans from Earth are nodding along and thinking about Jesus, but Teal'c speaks up and says "Oh, like Darth Vader!". Because he's not from Earth and isn't familiar with christianity, but he watched a lot of Movies on base, and loves the Star Wars franchise.

2023-03-18 15:27:33 +0000 UTCPlenty of times. I don't know if they want to comment section here to devolve into a discussion about this. It's easy to look up interviews with Kathleen Kennedy. Look up interviews about her when she talks about the fans of the Franchise before Disney bought Star Wars, or her opinion about the force, or her hiring decisions/reasons for writers. Or when she talks about not having any lore to pull from, find the interview with her and George Lucas during the handover where George talks about all the vast lore and information about the Star Wars Universe. She hasn't tried to hide what's she's doing at all, and she's quite vocal about it.

2023-03-18 11:14:24 +0000 UTCYAY!!! super excited for these......I think someone else already mentioned this, but Queen Amidala (Padme) is only supposed to be around 13-14 and Anakin is like 10,11,12ish. The Kings and Queens are elected on Naboo, and they usually vote for young women because the people believe them to be purer and wiser.

2023-03-17 23:58:15 +0000 UTCindeed IMO watching just the first six isn't enough anymore 7-9 HAVE TO be watched as well but they need to get through A LOT more before they do so

2023-03-17 20:25:44 +0000 UTCEpisodes 7-9 were the worst ones. Disney through out all the Star Wars lore and just used the franchise to push an agenda. The person in charge Kathleen Kennedy even said that's what she was doing. There is an interview with George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, and another person from Disney, and George shows them all the lore, novels, comics, games, etc... so much stuff to take from during the handover. A few years later another interview with Kathleen Kennedy and she claims they didn't have any lore to choose from, and they had to just make up their own stuff. Other interviews she specifically said she didn't care about the previous fans and was just using this to push her agenda/opinions. Episodes 7-9 were a farce.

2023-03-17 13:08:05 +0000 UTCWeird Al is a genius. Did you see his biographical movie that game out last year called Weird: The Al Yankovich story? Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) play weird Al, and it was brilliant. Almost the whole show is a spoof/parody of Al's life, and it was super-funny.

2023-03-17 13:04:55 +0000 UTCI'm a fan of 4-6 first. 1-3 had some merits, but one thing I really disliked was the midichlroians. The force, in the original movies, was really cool and something mystical. Darth Vader was able to pick up that the force was strong with Luke, so why did they have to now have a measurement with Anakin? It would be obvious in time how strong he was. George Lucas should've just stuck with that, and let it remain a mystical force.

2023-03-17 12:52:57 +0000 UTCFor the longest time episodes one through three just kept getting hated on lol I enjoyed them from the beginning but then episodes 7-9 came out and all of a sudden 1-3 weren't so bad lol not to deter you from watching episodes 7-9 there's some good in them and definitely worth a reaction just for the sake of finishing all nine episodes lol

2023-03-17 11:35:51 +0000 UTCThe first time I saw this movie I was disappointed. But they actually hyped it up so much that we all had high expectations. The second time I watched it I really liked it. I’m so glad you’re starting on this next trilogy. I can’t wait for you to see episode three. Now that you’ve seen this movie, you need to go and listen to the song “the saga continues“ by “Weird Al” Yankovic. I don’t know how he does it, but it is a parity of the song, American pie, and it describes this entire movie from beginning to end. You don’t necessarily have to react to it, but it be really cool for you to listen to it. Can’t wait for episode two.

2023-03-17 05:30:39 +0000 UTCThis is a never ending story that is still going on today. Sorry Long series. I would love to see you do a true story movie. There is the Movie Alive about the rugby team that crashed into the Ande's mountains and their survival and the choice several people frowned on and yet others completely understood. What would you do ? What choice you would make to survive? Since Friday is St. Patrick's Day thought you might do Jennifer Aniston's Leprechaun perfect for the holiday.

2023-03-17 03:18:53 +0000 UTCYou guys just witnessed the best fight scene of any of the Star Wars movies. Darth Maul was freaking awesome in this movie. The pod race is a pretty awesome scene as well. J that was a pretty damn good catch with noticing the switch of the queen.

2023-03-17 01:07:13 +0000 UTCYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for getting into this! The fun finally begins! I'm one of the most knowledgable experts on this series! I'll answer any questions you may have! I've been rewatching them for years! The word that describes what Anakin has in his cells is "midichlorians". I really enjoyed the reaction even more for one reason: you didn't hate on it once! When this first came out in good ol' 1999, the movie wasn't well received as much as it should have been because the hype was beyond the stratosphere, this being the first Star Wars movie in 16 YEARS and George Lucas was back in the director's chair. Critics and most fans hated Jar Jar Binks (in fact he's George's favorite character), they got bored with the political backdrop, Anakin's actor (Jake Lloyd) was ridiculed by not only the media but his peers. That followed him for the rest of his life into today. He's had real problems over the years. The CGI was even mocked and people forget that this movie had practical effects too, like the Podracing arena. That was a miniature. CGI doesn't fully take over until Episodes ll and lll. George Lucas waited this long to make these three prequels to wait for digital technology to evolve and mature. Lucasfilm pulled out all of the stops for them, introducing us to "digital cinema". Being a radical filmmaker, this was a passion for George. We the fans thank him for that every time we watch the saga. HE DID THIS. He brought in the possibility of making The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, etc. The fight scene, named Duel of the Fates, was the absolute best part of the movie, the Podrace being second. It was the one thing that everybody agreed that they liked. That and the music the legendary John Williams conducted. He's the best isn't he? Darth Maul was played by Ray Park, a real-life gymnast and martial artist from Scotland. He has belts and certifications in every art imaginable or so it seems. This is why the moves he performed were so flexible and agile. A stuntman named Nick Gillard was hired by Lucasfilm to choreograph ALL of the lightsaber techniques you saw as well as the ALL of the duels in the prequel trilogy. They get SO much better, especially in the third one. Jedi aren't invincible. The Sith was their mortal enemy for thousands of years so the arts that Maul learned were from Sidious (the man in the black cloak, in the holograms), his master. He knew every weakness a Jedi could have. That's how Qui-Gon was gutted. Maul was tiring both him and Obi-Wan out. Qui-Gon was meditating while the security walls were engaged. He knew this might be his last lightsaber duel. In fact, his death was the real first step into Anakin's fall to the dark side, which is why the fight was named Duel of the Fates. It set things in motion for EVERYBODY, directly involved or otherwise. You'll start seeing how the saga acts how "stanzas that rhyme" in George's words. Anakin and Luke grew up in a mundane life on the same planet, Tatooine. They both leave to seek adventure and destiny. They both blow up a critical automonous piece of metal in space (but Anakin was only 9 while Luke was 19!). A tyrannical political body is tormenting innocents. This is why it's my top franchise, not just movie franchise, but in general, of all time. LOTR and HP are great but THIS continues to grow and Disney is NOT stopping. You need to take your days in between videos of any kind to watch some really fascinating Making Of videos for the prequels. You can find them on YouTube. Start with "The Beginning: The Making of Episode l". You'll see how George was really intent on completing his baby, the series he started to write since he made American Graffiti. It's his entire life. One prequel down, two to go! I absolutely can't wait for Attack of the Clones! Next Thursday can't come soon enough! Again, I'm super super super glad you finally got started! It's just so heartwarming to watch along with you! It's more fun to watch with good friends! Anakin's story will definitely become clearer. You'll even see some more cool characters including one from the original trilogy! Mystery will come in some places as well which I believe you'll enjoy. Until then, May the Force Be With You!
