Jar-Jar was the comic relief and most of the criticism he and the actor who played him, Ahmed Best, got back then was extremely harsh and cruel.

I always felt like Ryan Philippe would have made a great Anakin Skywalker. He’s a few years older than Natalie Portman IRL, but I think he could have pulled it off.

As a mega fantasy fan, I love all the creatures/diff species etc. I know everyone hates Jar-Jar, but I like him, hes fun. To easy to fall to the dark side and grief can do it. Another awesome reacttion, so enjoying ur experience. Thanx so much, may the force be with u, Peace

I found Anakin to be too creepy and stalkerish, and I never could get into Padme falling in love with him.
Yes, I really hope Rob Squad watches Gladiator at some point. It's such an epic movie. No wasted lines, excellent acting, beautiful cinematography and music.

Another solid reaction by the Rob Squad! I'm really happy you're enjoying the prequels! It's so refreshing to see open minds!
Boba Fett IS the unaltered clone of Jango who is being raised as Jango's son but not TECHNICALLY his son he IS ALSO the man who captures Han and brings him to Jabba's palace Han was frozen in CARBONITE
The ship they have, named Slave l, is also the same that he pilots from Empire In fact, after the asteroid field chase, Obi-Wan hides among the rocks. Boba assumingly learned from this experience and used that lesson to know Han's hiding maneuver in Empire Great nod to the originals there.
The clones were ALL made in the computer not one was human, which always amazed me when I first heard that fact I love what you said about the CGI in the movie George and his animation teams flexed with it About 60 percent of the movie is all CGI Digital cinema was being introduced by him at this point the next movie had even more of it
AND the clones' armor is a hybrid between the Fetts' armor and the stormtroopers Foreshadowing is definitely at play here The Imperial March was played during the scene showing the clones being deployed to their cruisers and taking off for their next battles THIS is the Clone War that Luke asked Obi-Wan about in Episode lV Like Dooku said, this is just the beginning We're going to go down a rabbit hole that there's no escape from
Speaking of Dooku, did you notice his lightsaber hilt? It's curved. Dooku is a top master in swordsmanship and the hilt enables him to pull off some precise and sharp moves with the blade. He's the best duelist in the galaxy, even better than Anakin, Windu and Yoda.
The mystery of who created the clone army and why Kamino was erased from the Jedi Temple's library banks isn't explored much further in the movies I'm afraid. All that's left is the PURPOSE of the army. That will be explained FOR SURE in the final movie of the trilogy.
If you want to know more, you need to go to the next level of fandom and start watching the TV shows on Disney+. One named "Tales of the Jedi" answers explicitly the Kamino question.
Again, you need to go on YouTube and watch ALL of the fascinating Making Of videos of the prequel trilogy. The channel name is mranderson00001. If you thought the visuals look cool, this is how you see them getting made. You'll be made an even bigger fan when you see them.

The scene where Anakin is explaining why he killed all those who caused harm to his mother is incredible! I would do the same! The love a son has for his mother is inexplicable, something that only a son and a mother could understand!

you now know Aniken is Darth Vader's story ? Start to put puzzle together . I hope you do some classic's like Hitchcock's Psycho or The Bird's both are in black and white but both have been used in so many other movies . Classic movies that terrify millions into having phobia's .I am terrified of birds because of the Birds and I am 57.

You guys think graphics are good here wait till you get to 7,8&9. A lot of people didn’t like 1,2 & 3 but the backstory was really interesting and lends a lot of context to the original 3.

Hey Amber and Jay! I just finished watching this and I promise no spoilers. This movie was my least favorite of the prequels. However, I think it’s a good film and we get to witness the slow but steady decline of Anakin on his way to evil. Amber, you are right! Boba Fett is the bounty hunter who captured Han Solo. Fun fact: I used to have the “Star Wars” action figures and toys as a kid and one of them was Boba’s ship the Slave-1.
I personally didn’t feel the chemistry between Hayden and Natalie in this movie. It felt lacking to me, but I could be wrong. The Yoda lightsaber duel was awesome.
FWIW I think the next movie “Revenge of the Sith” is the best of the prequels. You will both really love that one.

When people like to poke fun at Hayden Christensen's acting, they frequently turn to the infamous sand line from this film. So my hot take is that I think that's actually one of his best lines he delivered in the movie. In fact, it's about the only time I find Anakin likeable and relatable. He's being too creepy too much of the rest of the time. I believe he's seen his share of sand, and has no use to see any more. It's the cheesy follow-up line that falls short. I didn't like the movie in general, but saw Hayden in the film “Life as a House”, and thought he did a real good job with the acting. Enough so that I tend to lay the bad delivery above to George Lucas's writing and directing. He's just not an actor's director.
I will say I like Count Dooku's lightsaber handle. As a someone who's done some fencing, I've had a fondness for foils and epee's with a pistol grip, so that reminded me of them.
Also, if you want some Romanesque style arena combat, you really should check out the movie set in Roman arenas, and watch Gladiator.
