Now you need to do the Matrix Revolutions and the Matrix Resurrections. I also recommend Anamatrix, a series of animations that give more background and detail to understand the movies. Each one is very short. There are 9, I think, but it doesn't take longer than a regular movie to just sit and watch them.

The scene where Neo engages the "gangsters" of the Merovingian AFTER the KISS from the Merovingian's partner is more significant than most realize. While NEO successfully escaped the hundreds of AGENT SMITH clones, he is now fighting in the stairwell with marital arts weapons all over...VAMPIRES gathered from the prior Matrix'. The Merovingian is a survivor of the prior Matrix' programs and he uses old-school Vampires as his guards, since they can manipulate the Matrix in much the same way NEO does, but their major weakness is silver...or silver-based weapons, as is displayed on the walls of the stairwell. This is why they can move as NEO does, and killing them essentially strips one of the Matrix' most notorious villains of his protections, thus his angry reaction...now AGENTS can find and kill him if the SYSTEM so chooses.

2023-04-06 21:09:56 +0000 UTCOkay guys, it's time you go for old skool Keanu, and watch Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. 😁 For that matter, maybe see Lawrence Fishburn in a great supporting role in Searching for Bobby Fischer. I'm with Jay in that the rave scene overstayed its welcome. Not the only one I feel about in the film, but that was the first. But the fight from the Merovingian place to the highway was a nice ride that managed to stay engaging the whole way. Good stuff. One of my favorite supporting performances from the first film was Gloria Foster as The Oracle. She really stole her one scene. It was good to see her again here, but unfortunately, she passed away and had to be recast for the third film.

There's a lesser known sci-fi movie with Keanu Reeves called Johnny Mnemonic, which is really good, and is somewhat relevant to our lives today and possibly near future. What a possible future would be with max technology around us and even within us (brain implants). It also takes advantage of the CGI capabilities back in that time, and gave insight into what Virtual Reality would look like. It's a good movie, please consider.
