I agree with you Doug Collier that "The Mission" is a great movie, and it has a wonderful score as well of the greatest movie composer of all time, Ennio Morricone.
I would however suggest several De Niro movies first though. Morricone scored the incredable "Once upon a time in America" and of course one of my favorite movies of all time, "Once Upon a time in the West" (but that`s not De Niro though).
Hope they will do "The Godfather Trilogy" in the future with De Niro in the sequel. Easy to think of classic of "Taxi Driver" (76), but not sure that`s my pick for Jay and Amber. Better with "The Deer Hunter" (78) for them as 70`s De Niro pick.
Would have loved to see a reaction to "The Untouchables" (87) where we have Costner and Connery as well with De Niro. As for 90`s, "Heat" (95) would be the natural Action choice, De Niro with Al Pacino and Val Kilmer. But then again from 1995 I prefer both "Se7en" and "The Unusual Suspects" as reactions!
Yes, I know. So many movies to look forward too. Haven`t even started on Jeremy Irons. To make that short. If they do continue with "Die Hard 2", the next one, Die Hard with a Vencance" with Jeremy Irons is even better!
I end my post with Liam Neeson. We can wait all the way to December for "Love Actually". Myself however, (and hopefully MANY MORE) - We want Liam Neeson in "Taken" very soon! Please ...

Jay's a Will Ferrell fan. Status of NASCAR fandom: unknown. But that's what I meant. 😁

I would very much like to see RSR take on "The Mission" starring Robert DeNiro, Jeremy Irons, and Liam Neeson. It;s a heavy, challenging drama.

I wasn't aware Jay was a NASCAR fan. Blades of Glory is very funny!

Stephen Root is one of those character actors that seems to show up a lot, and he's always good, comedy or drama. As for Will Ferrell, if I were a betting man, I'd place good odds that at least Jay's seen Talladega Nights, since he is a fan. Probably the same for Blades of Glory, which would be on my list if I had to pick a starring turn for him. Getting fresh Ferrell for Jay may require hitting a more supportive role, like his turn as a villain in Zoolander (with the above mentioned Ben Stiller).

I suggested this as a possible Labor Day Movie Monday selection, but... an awesome movie is good anytime, and this beats waiting that long, anyway. I frequently see Amber sporting the King of the Hill t-shirts, so I was thinking it possible she'd actually seen this before. The writer/director is Mike Judge, creator of Beavis and Butthead, and co-creator of King of the Hill. He actually plays the part of Jennifer Anniston's manager. If you watch again, listen, and you'll hear that hint of Hank Hill in his voice. This film is based on his cartoon series, Milton.
I have three pins decorating the strap of my bass guitar that I often jokingly refer to as my flair. Fortunately, none of the bands I play with require it, but if so, I'm covered for three pieces of flair.
In the 70's, my brother had a pet rock. Yeah, it was a real thing. 🤔 I find it handy to point out to anyone who ever says everything about the 70's was cool. I'm looking at you, Quentin Tarantino...

Lol! Office space, the working experience from hell.
Stephen Root as Milton is hilarious. He also plays Bill in King of the Hill. He’s also in another funny movie with Ben Stiller called Dodgeball.
A silly Will Ferrell movie I’d love to see you watch is Talladega Nights, a parody on NASCAR. Aside from Elf, this is my favorite Will Ferrell movie. Also starring Gary Cole, also John C Riley, plus Michael Clark Duncan from the Green mile.
And yes, pet rocks were a real thing.😬
