RUDY (1993) | FIRST TIME WATCHING | MOVIE REACTION

Comments

Caddy Shack is my favorite sports movie comedy.

Douglas Custard

Another fantastic sports movie that I highly recommend is Invictus . It was aired in 2009 and great actors like Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon acted in this film

Luisa Montaut Martinez-Mejias

My favorite sports movie is Bull Durham

Jonathan

Great movie! I saw it in the theater, and the whole crowd was cheering for Rudy at the end. For sports movies I also like Remember the Titans and Million Dollar Baby. An interesting baseball movie is The Natural. Love watching your channel!

Do they ever comment or even like ANY comments?

You asked about our favorite sports film. Mine is Ford v Ferrari, and it’s not just my favorite sports film but my favorite film of all-time. This film also is more than just a racing film. It has a lot of depth to it as well. Also has probably the closest friendship between film characters since Frodo and Sam in Lord of the Rings. Also, great cast: Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Jon Bernthal, Josh Lucas, Tracy Letts, Catorina Balfe, Ray McKinnon, and Noah Jupe. Also, directed by James Mangold, who is director the last Indiana Jones film coming out this Summer on June 30th.

Cody Price

Another great movie and great reaction from my favorite reactors. A great sports movie to watch is Miracle 2004. All about the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team.

Matt Brodzinski

Amazing movie!! I have seen it multiple times. FYI, the guy playing Rudy also played Samwise Gamgee in LOTR.

Mary Alice

D-Bob is played by Jon Favreau, who has become a household name in the last several years he directed some Marvel movies and is now showrunning streaming TV for Star Wars, like the Mandalorian Again, you need to start watching the SW TV shows when you get the chance

Karl Kraus

The music in the tryouts scene and the final game has become iconic it's been used in movie trailers in years past it's one of the most uplifting themes ever

Karl Kraus

My mother (in high school) and two of my dad's brothers were in marching band those uncles were in band in college as well, playing clarinet and trombone I believe UGA's marching band is one of the best in the country IMO you need to look them up online and listen in

Karl Kraus

Good! It's here at last! Rudy is a true underdog story! Notre Dame is one of the most respected, traditional and notable teams in sports I don't follow them that much but I always know they'll put on a show every time they take the field That board the players hit on their way out now says "Play like a champion today" For college football, I'm a Georgia fan since my parents, and now siblings, are alumni therefore, the best part in my opinion was seeing Georgia Tech getting embarrassed by this team, especially Rudy Plus, if you follow other sports teams other than OU, you may have known that Georgia has won the last two national championships, led by a former WALK-ON QB named Stetson Bennett he was counted out for all the time he was suited up he went to school at UGA two separate times before making varsity so this movie reminds me of Bennett's journey from his point a to point b By the way, you may also remember that OU lost to my Bulldogs in the Rose Bowl in 2018 So sorry! Sean Astin didn't play Frodo Amber... he played Samwise Gamgee Elijah Wood played Frodo

Karl Kraus

Oh yes! 50 First Dates is funny and so heartwarming. And it is not as sappy as some rom coms, so I think Jay would like it too. As for a Frodo movie, I'd love for them to watch Deep Impact. Elijah Wood is great.

Kristin D

Yes, that was a very, very young Vince Vaughn.

Adam Wyler

This is such an uplifting movie. A quiet classic. And it’s based on a true story, but it avoids the over dramatization and hyperbole we typically see in biopics.

Jeff Mills

I agree, 50 First Dates is really good! I also love them in the movie Blended. It’s hilarious!

Jennifer Sanchez

I hope Amber enjoyed it! Sean Astin did a great job. I know you like Adam Sandler and have watched some of his movies, but have you seen 50 First Dates? Which also stars Sean Astin. Also, have you (and I’m sure you have but then again maybe not) seen The Sandlot? I feel like everyone has seen it, definitely as kids, but since I thought the same about E.T and it turned out to be that you hadn’t seen it, I thought I’d ask lol. While this is Sam, Frodo does come out in a sports movie, “Green Street” (don’t remember if it’s good or not).
