This is going to be repetitive, but there are two other movies that come to my mind based on y'all's comments during the movie. First, Castaway for a stellar Tom Hanks performance. Second, Hidden Figures for some of the history of math in the space program.

I was 4 in 1970 so don’t remember this that well but definitely remember watching several of the later launches and splashdowns. A couple more great Tom Hanks movies are Splash (comedy) and Philadelphia (drama) he won an Oscar for Philadelphia. Congrats on the new place and good luck on the move!

So excited to watch this! In the meantime, some suggestions based on the cast. I love Ed Harris, who plays flight director Gene Kranz. For him I’d suggest “The Truman Show” (which also stars Jim Carrey in a great dramatic roll), “The Rock” (action-thriller), “A Beautiful Mind” (also directed by Ron Howard, who directed Apollo 13), “A History Of Violence” (which stars Viggo Mortensen who plays Aragorn in LOTR), “Glengarry Glen Ross” (great ensemble cast), and “Stepmom” (if you like Steel Magnolias you’ll like this one). Tom Hanks suggestions are endless but one or my favorites is “Catch Me If You Can” (directed by Spielberg and based on a true story). There’s also “Cast Away” “Bridge Of Spies” “Philadelphia”, etc. For Bill Paxton who plays Fred Haise, “Titanic” (just watch it already Jordan lol), “Aliens” “Edge of Tomorrow “ (one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies) and “Nightcrawler”.
