War of the Worlds (Steven Spielberg movie, 2005 version of the classic book) 3. Minority Report (Steven Spielberg movie, takes place in a society where crime is stopped BEFORE one is committed) 4. Born on the Fourth of July (quite gruesome movie, but I think you're ready for it, since you've seen Saving Private Ryan, plus it's anti-war so it's very serious) 5. The Last Samurai, takes us to 1870s Japan, lovely movie when it comes to the culture and camera work
