Leave me alone you don't know my reasons why I keep asking about it so if you don't like it, unsub or just keep everything negative to yourself calling me brat is a no-no besides I'm not the only one who keep re-suggesting movies its a pastime on here AND it's not like I'm pestering them about the movies they haven't watched one since March 30 so 2 months is plenty of space to give them so again to all you sour pusses, GET LOST
Karl Kraus
2023-05-26 22:41:47 +0000 UTCStop being demanding and aggressive. They’ll get to it when they get to it. I swear, some Star Wars fans are straight up brats.

2023-05-25 11:54:45 +0000 UTCPTSD SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR the veterans and their families of these movies. Yes some may still be alive and their families are. My Dad served both in the Army and Navy in world war two rarely did he ever speak of it because of the terror he witnessed. Seeing these movies bring on the PTSD Please take into consideration of that issue.

2023-05-25 00:31:45 +0000 UTCAs an Army daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, mother and mother-in-law, thank you for reminding everyone that Memorial Day is to honor all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, not the day to thank those still with us. You are all dealing with many emotions about your fallen brothers and sisters, making it inappropriate to wish any veteran or active duty personnel a happy Memorial Day. To all of you, I wish you peace in your hearts every day, but especially this weekend. 🇺🇸

2023-05-23 17:09:06 +0000 UTCA Time to Kill is excellent.

2023-05-23 17:07:37 +0000 UTCStop kidding around amber said they're watching it for Monday's posting so bite the bullet or don't watch like it or not they like the prequels and I have confidence they'll behave equally to the sequels
Karl Kraus
2023-05-23 16:10:08 +0000 UTCAll great suggestions. A bridge too Far could also be added.
Christopher Puttre
2023-05-23 15:41:34 +0000 UTCThey are being remade in the few years anyway, so waiting for the better version would be recommended
Christopher Puttre
2023-05-23 15:39:04 +0000 UTCAll 3 amazing movies. Be forewarned each of them portray the devastation of war. 2 being about WWII and the other more modern about an incident in Somalia. While Blackhawk down and Hacksaw Ridge are both based on True stories; I think Hacksaw Ridge is prefect for Memorial day.
Christopher Puttre
2023-05-23 15:34:28 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge is a very good movie based on a true story. This really happened.

2023-05-23 14:22:21 +0000 UTCIf you don't like it Shawn, then don't watch

2023-05-23 13:23:24 +0000 UTCI have to go with Blackhawk Down, as it was my unit and my friends over there during Operation Gothic Serpent. I was a young Private First Class in Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment at the time, and Bravo Company with elements from Headquarters and Headquarters Company deployed to Somalia at the end of a training deployment that had all of our battalion in Ft Bliss, Texas (and a few additional areas) for several weeks. One of the most difficult mornings of my life up to that point was when we were standing in formation and were informed of the raid in Mogadishu, and the fact that several members of our unit (plus members of additional units involved such as Delta and Task Force 160) were killed in action. It wasn't until several of days later when we were informed of who had been killed in action. I think the film does an excellent job of portraying the men and the mission they were engaged in. One additional thing I would like to point out, Memorial Day is not supposed to be a celebratory occasion, it is the day we remember our men and women in the military who have died. It is a solemn occasion, even though for most of the country it is nothing but a 3 day weekend and an excuse to have a cookout. In the US we have 3 military days of recognition, one for those currently serving, Armed Forces Day... one for those who have served, Veterans Day... and one for those who gave all while serving, Memorial Day.

2023-05-23 04:17:21 +0000 UTCIf they never see one, they'll never know if they'll like it.
Al Batista
2023-05-23 03:07:36 +0000 UTCI would also like to see your reactions to a legal thriller like A Time to Kill or the Pelican Brief. Great storylines and actors in both.
Janell
2023-05-23 02:39:31 +0000 UTCHow about The Longest Day with an amazing cast of John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Richard Burton, Sean Connery, and Henry Fonda?

2023-05-23 02:37:48 +0000 UTCAmber and i have been talking and she told me they're going to watch it she even said they should've thought of a Sw movie in May they have enjoyed the series the most in here so I would think they'd jump at a chance to watch it again, especially so soon after the prequels
Karl Kraus

2023-05-23 01:44:28 +0000 UTCFor me there choice is Hacksaw Ridge! Another war movie that is great IMO is To Hell and Back. It's the true story of Audie Murphy. He received every military combat award for valor available. And Audie Murphy plays himself in the movie! It's based on his memoir.

2023-05-23 01:05:05 +0000 UTCNone thank you ,I think that doing War movies on a holiday is a bad thing these soldiers and their family doesn't want to be reminded of the war trama so many have tried to over come . We should respect them and honor them but showing reenactments of a battle has to be a horrifying experience for them and their families. We still have a lot of veterans living. Several member of my family was in the wars. My Dad served both Army and Navy and was in World war 2 , my grandpa's uncle's fought in Wars. It was very hard for them to watch movies and talk about what they had done there. If you want to do a movie about a war do a fictional one like original Red Dawn - With Patrick Swazye, Charlie Sheen , Leigh Thompson , and Jenifer Grey . I think you both would like it . I hope you understand bout the PTSD . I do wish since it is the start of camping season could you do The Great Out Doors. ( Wonderful JOHN CANDY (Uncle Buck) DAN AYKROYD,) The Money Pit -With the amazing Tom Hanks , Secret Window - with Johnny Depp.
Lisa Rhodes
2023-05-23 00:00:06 +0000 UTCPlease do Rocky 3 soon

2023-05-22 23:56:25 +0000 UTCI agree Tarantino movies are pretty violent and sexual in nature. The only one I can think of is Deathproof . Pretty violent. I will be honest been watching your reactions and Tarantino is not your kind of movies you watch.
Lisa Rhodes
2023-05-22 23:49:00 +0000 UTCHacksaw Risge is WWII. If you haven't seen , give a view.its really good.

2023-05-22 22:59:15 +0000 UTCIndependence Day is an excellent suggestion!!
Jayce
2023-05-22 22:56:21 +0000 UTCI agree. Hamilton is the best
Tom Wilkinson
2023-05-22 22:04:59 +0000 UTCI second "Inglorious Basterds" and "Schindler's List"
Patty Estrada
2023-05-22 21:43:00 +0000 UTCVoting for Hacksaw Ridge of these options, since I do believe Jay and Amber would like that one the most. I really like Black Hawk Down as well, and Fury is good too, but would prefer Platoon here as my second choice. Apocalypse Now is the greatest classic in the genre though. Hope they will see it sometime. So many choices... Suggestion for first week of July celebrating July 4th: "Born on the Fourth of July" with Tom Cruise. After Risky Business today I mostly hope for "Jerry Maguire" with him, but Tom Cruise in "Born on the Fourth of July" on "Movie Monday" on July 3th would be so fitting, since that is actually Tom Cruise`s birthday as well the day before Independence Day... Okay. Can`t help mentioning. They really should react to the movie "Indepencene Day" as well. Why not watch it on July 4th, and post it on the channel on "Film Friday" on July 7th! I can only keep hoping...

2023-05-22 20:04:22 +0000 UTCBlack Hawk Down & 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi & 12 Strong are 3 good movies based on true events
JarHead0351
2023-05-22 19:37:29 +0000 UTCLove you guys, but I'll be watching something else. I prefer movies about WWII to anything else regarding wartime. Although it's not a factual depiction of actual events it is hilarious - "Inglorious Basterds" by Quentin Tarantino. "Mr. Roberts" is also a gem. "The Great Escape", "The Dirty Dozen" (1967), "Schindler's List", "The Bridge on the River Kwai" is a classic.
Angela Warton
2023-05-22 19:33:39 +0000 UTCVoting for Hacksaw because I know how much it will resonate with Amber and Jay but "Black Hawk Down" and "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" are great true story depictions.
Tracy Geier
2023-05-22 19:01:21 +0000 UTCI don't watch movies set in the Vietnam War. That was a lived experience for me. I wasn't there but so many people I knew died there -- some in body, some in spirit. I don't need to see a movie to relive those losses.
Shirley Durr
2023-05-22 18:50:07 +0000 UTCI love the smell of napalm in the morning.

2023-05-22 18:42:59 +0000 UTCNone of these…. Nope

2023-05-22 18:37:54 +0000 UTCOh yeah! Hunt For Red October! I love that movie, and it's Sean Connery too!!
Jayce
2023-05-22 18:29:45 +0000 UTCHow about none of those lol. Go for another comedy night.
David Shepherd
2023-05-22 18:24:42 +0000 UTCPlatoon would have been a good choice. You guys would love the soundtrack. A lot of music you have reacted to from the 60’s
Jerome Simon
2023-05-22 18:24:38 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge! A great story of faith in the middle of war. Outstanding movie based on a true story. At the end of the movie there is something special waiting for you!
Jayce
2023-05-22 18:14:01 +0000 UTCAnd I'm still waiting for you to watch "First Blood". It will help explain why, TODAY we thank service members for their service. We didn't always.
Chuck
2023-05-22 18:05:37 +0000 UTCI haven't watched a lot of military movies, but I really enjoyed Patton and also Hunt for Red October (Sean Connery)
Kristin D
2023-05-22 18:05:36 +0000 UTCMissing from this poll is "Platoon" and "Apocalypse Now". Both Vietnam War movies. Both main characters played by a Sheen, one father, one son.
Chuck
2023-05-22 18:03:51 +0000 UTCMy favorite Tarantino film is Inglorious Basterds. It's a WWII movie, focused on a plan to assassinate Hitler. Takes place in France. Brad Pitt stars.
Kristin D
2023-05-22 18:02:20 +0000 UTCYes, Tarantino movies are very R rated, but they’re great films, he’s Tarantino for a reason. “Inglorious Basterds” “Django Unchained” “Pulp Fiction” “Reservoir Dogs” just to name a few.
Patty Estrada
2023-05-22 18:01:14 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge was "toned down" because they thought the reality of what happened was too over the top to be believed. It was all true. Every. bit.
Chuck
2023-05-22 18:00:36 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge is good, but I feel BHD really shows the reality of modern warfare and helps people respect what’s going on today. Same with Jarhead.
John Walker
2023-05-22 17:59:16 +0000 UTCI’d like to see your reaction to “Crimson Tide”. It takes place on The USS Alabama ( a nuclear missile submarine), and parallels a real life incident during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman give great performances as the conflicting commanding officers of the submarine. Perhaps "Apocalypse Now" "Platoon" or "The Hurt Locker" could have taken over Fury's spot, or added as a 4th choice (IMO).
Patty Estrada
2023-05-22 17:52:49 +0000 UTCHeartbreak ridge is pretty good
Jason Register
2023-05-22 17:51:56 +0000 UTCAll great options! I went with Hacksaw Ridge. Excellent movie! Other War movies for future consideration: 1917 Dunkirk The Hurt Locker 12 Strong The King
Troy
2023-05-22 17:48:19 +0000 UTCWell, you'd probably want to start with Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2.
Al Batista
2023-05-22 17:47:04 +0000 UTCVery true, Carolyn. The movies are very R rated, but they are amazing movies. Quentin Tarantino is probably my favorite director, next to James Cameron.
Al Batista
2023-05-22 17:46:15 +0000 UTCPulp fiction, reservoir dogs, inglorious basterds, kill bill and my personal favorite death proof.
Kevin
2023-05-22 17:45:41 +0000 UTCFuture Military Movies that are worth viewing: (IMHO) "The Longest Day: "Patton" "Hunt for Red October" "Von Ryan's Express" "The Great Escape" "Sandpebbles" "In Harm's Way" to mention a few.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-05-22 17:41:00 +0000 UTCJust so you know Tarantino movies are very R rated for violence and obscenities. Just like Sam Peckinpah. They are not the most main stream. I am not denying their audience, but nothing is subtle so be prepared. They would make Shawshank Redemption seem PG.
Carolyn Phelan
2023-05-22 17:40:10 +0000 UTCI can't vote here because I don't do a lot of war movies, but I'll still watch whatever you do. Throwing in my off-topic suggestion still: Hamilton! It's got the american revolution, with plenty of death and guns and cannons. You'll be on your feet cheering, you'll cry (guaranteed), you'll laugh and boo, it's got rock/rap for Jordan, horns and storyline for Amber, and there are girl-power anthems the girls might really love. It's not "boring broadway." It's got the world record for fastest rapping in a play, so closed captions are really helpful. I am just really hoping to see your reactions to it! Everyone I know (or see reacts from) says "wow, I didn't know it would be like this! This is so good!" and often "if they taught history like this in school I would have listened!" Okay, sales pitch over, I just super hope you'll do it!
Maya Bairey «SupermodelSquad»
2023-05-22 17:35:54 +0000 UTCMaybe some other time you can watch Platoon,The Deer Hunter, and Good Morning Vietnam all really good films dealing with the Vietnam War.
Elizabeth Franco
2023-05-22 17:32:58 +0000 UTCI agree! Great movie that focuses on the human heart, God, and duty. That is based on a true story is astounding. Also..... The cast is fantastic.
Karen Silvera
2023-05-22 17:32:32 +0000 UTCPatience is a virtue. Please give Amber and Jay time. They both work extremely hard and do their best.
Jeff Mills
2023-05-22 17:31:20 +0000 UTCYou will both like Hacksaw Ridge better than the other two and it's the best tribute to Memorial Day of the three.
Shirley Durr
2023-05-22 17:24:57 +0000 UTCYes I just saw your message
Jordan Robinson
2023-05-22 17:22:57 +0000 UTCWe want to do Marvel. Perhaps this summer we will start those. As far as Tarantino moves, leave us some suggestions!
Jordan Robinson
2023-05-22 17:22:47 +0000 UTCAre you guys going to watch the Marvel movies, or any Tarantino movies?

2023-05-22 17:21:10 +0000 UTCyou're doing star wars the force awakens this week right? you're running out of time
Karl Kraus
2023-05-22 17:17:36 +0000 UTCblack hawk down is up there with saving private ryan the soldiers in this movie are cornered and have to fight their way through every second it's hauntingly a nice movie it's also a rare war movie, having the setting be on the continent of Africa, specifically Somalia, intervening in their civil war in the 90s
Karl Kraus
2023-05-22 17:17:02 +0000 UTCBlack Hawk Down may be the best post Vietnam war movie ever.
