All i have to say is: ,,One Way OUT!"

Please check out The Mandalorian!! There’s a baby Yoda named Grogu, and the story line is AMAZING! When you do, watch seasons 1 and 2, then watch The Book of Boba Fett. It continues the Mandalorian story line, and then watch season 3 of The Mandalorian. REALLY great shows!

David Croft-Ogawa

Yes of course because Disney they see Chewbacca, Star Wars storm Troopers. Ect. Have fun keep safe.

My younger brothers were 9 and 11 when I took them to see Return of the Jedi at the theaters. That was their first introduction to the franchise. Dan, the younger of the two latched on to the Ewoks and even wanted to be one that year for Halloween. They also both noticed (of course) the famous gold bikini and how kick-ass Leah was. For the most part I think that young viewers may miss some of the more gruesome parts and find the part of the story or character they love. I know children everywhere love Yoda. I'm still of the old enough generation that I would want to introduce the girls in the original story order. BUT! you are younger and the parents so if you think the new trilogy with Rey would catch their attention then no one would fault you for showing that to them first. I still think there is a lot to be said for the long buildup of the epic story arc. I'm looking forward to seeing the fun you have at the Star Wars Experience and building droids.

One movie I would love if you 2 would do is called Baby Boom. It came out in 1987. An Diane Keaton plays the main character in it.

Jordan Geier

This would mark Carrie Fisher’s last appearance as Princes Leah.a role she had performed since 19 years of age. The movie was released in 2017 Carrie died died December 2016

Elizabeth Franco

Everyone feels the same way you do Jay

Elizabeth Franco

I was 9 years old in 1977 when the first Star Wars came out.

I just need to put this out there… Philadelphia, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Antonio Banderas and more… Courtroom Drama. That is all. As you were.

Kathy Carter

Count me as one that hated how they changed Luke character, went from always believing he could pull anyone away from the Dark side, and succeeded with his Dad, but he gave up on his nephew, not believable. Big Star Wars fan and only watched these last 2 movies once each, others at least 50 times each over the years. Also just watched your Survivor music reaction, reminded me you have to watch Rocky 3, the ones after that were just OK. Survivor sings Eye of the Tiger, top song onthe soundtrack for Rocky 3

Mark

If somebody hasn’t already told you, Snoke is played by the same actor who played Gollum in lord of the rings, Andy Serkis He also played Ulysses claw in the black panther.

Thomas Horton

Really hope y'all do Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Mummy Returns

Well, my complaints are broad but fewer, so we'll start there. I thought the Holdo/Poe conflict completely contrived, and left me convinced that her complete lack of basic leadership skills doesn't excuse his mutiny. I also thought the Finn and Rose trip to the casino world seemed like (to borrow a phrase from the my gamer friends) a sidequest that, despite a nice character moment or two, was ultimately pointless. What I did like, unfortunately, seemed to be the very bold choices that truly irked many longtime fans. A lot of people hated the treatment of Luke Skywalker here. And to be fair, at the start of this movie we find him in a place I did not ever want to see him: a tired old man with a broken spirit. But as sad as it was to see, it was dramatically interesting. Which I can't say for Han Solo's last appearance. Even more, he also managed to have a character arc and a death with some purpose. Also two things I can't say about Solo's last appearance. So as sad as it was to find Luke as we did, the change and conclusion to this character won me over as a bold choice. Due to some... questionable story decisions in Star Wars history, there's a significant number of die hard fans who now expect that any character of consequence, especially if powerful with The Force, is somehow related to some other character we already know. So when the last movie came out, naturally speculation along those lines began for Rey. So the revelation that Rey's parents were nobody's, and some pretty awful ones at that, was cool to me. It set some interesting dramatic possibilities for Rey coming to grips with the false hopes she's been holding on to, perhaps setting up a lesson that your heritage and history don't define you. Maybe a lesson she could help Kylo come to grips with too. Another bold choice that many fans hated. A criticism I often heard was that at the end of this movie there was “nowhere for the story to go.” Frankly, this one completely baffles me. “Return of the Jedi” seemed far more conclusive in it's ending than this, but somehow no one complained that there was nowhere for the story to go when Ep VII was announced. I refuse to believe that all of the people with this opinion are that lacking in imagination, so I can only guess it's people who hate this movie already for other reasons looking for one more. The Rebellion is decimated and needs rebuilt to keep fighting. There's no good story to be found in that? Really? Sorry, that's rubbish. Best of all, for the first time in Star Wars history, The Empire – er... First Order, whatever – is under the control of a character I'm actually invested in. Sorry, but the old scarred and vaguely menacing dude we know nothing about sitting on a throne cackling like a cartoon villain just isn't all that interesting to me. Now the primary antagonist of the story is actually in charge for a change. This would normally be an obvious choice for any other intellectual property, but given the history of the Star Wars franchise, this was another interesting and bold choice. There's really no good story to be found in that, either? More rubbish. You may hate this movie, and there are totally legit reasons to do so, but I'm not buying that the story was backed into a dead-end as one of them. I ended up defending those bold choices against this movie's critics, and thought they opened up the story to explore some new ground with the franchise. I was excited to see where this would lead in the next movie. Then they actually made that next movie. 😒

Robert Greffey

wish you all done the Mummy Two .

Lisa Rhodes

Mark Hamill actually got emotional onset when he reunited with Frank Oz and Yoda. I love Jim Henson, but I think Oz gets vastly under appreciated. Such a talented man.

Jeff Mills

Yoda showing up like that was a BIG shock of a surprise That was one of the best kept secrets of any Star Wars production EVER, next to Vader being Anakin

On a much sadder note, this was Carrie Fisher's last time playing Leia She passed away after going into cardiac arrest on a flight from London to LA She made it to a hospital and was temporarily stabilized but died soon after, following Christmas 2016 It was news that shocked the world to the core When I saw this movie in the theater, I partially made the viewng to be a tribute to Carrie In the credits, there was a caption that read: "In Loving Memory of our Princess, Carrie Fisher", with some notes from Leia's Theme playing when shown In the next movie, footage from THIS movie and episode 7 was used to create the illusion that Carrie was still playing Leia and the plot was shot around those scenes to make it convincing

Karl Kraus

If you're going to be baptized as Star Wars fans by going to Galaxy's Edge in Orlando, be sure to try to go to a convention called Star Wars Celebration when it comes back through the United States The atmosphere in these events is eye-popping and a fun time I haven't been but I watch online with the livestream Unfortuntately, the next one is in Japan in 2025 so it'll be awhile The next one following this con has to be in 2027 because that year will be the 50th anniversary of Episode lV aka the birth of the franchise There's NO way that will be passed up It may be the biggest SWC EVER up to that point If you go, you'll have a BANGER of a time

Karl Kraus

I agree Rey has become a quintessential role model for young girls everywhere that are ages 5-10 nowadays Even her hair (the triple buns) have become a staple fashion choice like how Leia's Cinnabun style was popular in the 70s So, if you want to work your way backwards through the timeline, that works too Whatever works for you, I'll support it

Karl Kraus

Not sure if this has already been said but, to me, thee cool thing about Supreme Leader Snoke is that he is portrayed and voiced by Andy Serkis, the man who portrayed and voiced Gollum from the Lord of the Rings movies, and portrayed Smeagol in the opening sequence of the Return of the King.

Troy

I watched this in the theater and I have mixed feelings about this movie, but I’m really glad you’re both enjoying them. Amber and Jay, you are both rays of sunshine that get us through some really tough days and nights. I’m truly grateful you’re both here. Like you, I was surprised to see Luke’s character arc in this movie. Some fans were really angry and upset about it, but I tried to explain that perhaps it was a good thing. The easy thing would have been to have Luke be eager to train Rey and ostensibly be the new Obi-Wan. Old Jedi Master. Has a beard. Strange hermit. We’ve seen this before. Maybe it was a gutsy move not to take the predictable route. There were two moments in this movie that really hit me in the feels: 1) seeing Leia’s hologram from “Star Wars” 2) seeing “Empire Strikes Back” Yoda, the puppet and not the CGI version

Jeff Mills

You two know there's 1 more... The Rise of Skywalker.... I had boys and they started around 9 watching these. But they started with ep 1, 2, and 3 in the theater. They liked 1 and 2 but thought 3 was too sappy.

Karen Silvera

normally don't way in on this movie, too divisive, but watching it here.... the movie just makes no sense.... just does things to do them. The dice were Han Solo's

S W

I have never watched these movies and am enjoying experiencing them along with you. I love your reactions and am apparently also a bad judge of character. 😅

Janell

I was 9 when I saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977. I was about as young as I think kid should be. The smoldering bodies of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru were horrifying to my young mind. Imagery like that impacts different kids differently, and you always have to consider that it cannot be "unseen". I introduced my oldest son to the reboot called "A New Hope" (not the same movie) in 1997 when he was 8, and he was mostly bored and sometimes scared by it at the time, but later fell in love with Pod Racing in Episode 1. He in turn recently showed it to my grandson who is 4, and was terrified of Darth Vadar. Too young, but his parents are very eager for him to enjoy it like they do. 10 is probably a good age for someone to really appreciate these movies. Older if they need to understand the intricacies of intergalactic trade agreements and sit through senate debates on such matters.

William Benton

Please check out “Seabiscuit” with Jeff Bridges. It’s a sports movie Jay…well horse racing…lol Awesome movie about an underdog race horse, and it’s a true story! Nominated for several Academy Awards. Heartwarming, feel good movie you both will love!

John

the age to introduce the kids to star wars is 4-5 years old, when the memories start to take hold in their brains and when they can understand more but since the girls are in the middle of pre-teen years, that's covered Luca has some ways to go though :( You have some smart kids you guys, so they should pick things up easily once you show them the movies To be on the safe side, go the route you did Show them 4-6 first, and so on, just to get their feet wet If they love them (but seriously, come on ;)) show them the rest
