2023-07-02 04:56:46 +0000 UTCOh, man! I was not prepared for this one! This was one of my first favorite movies as a child and I had such a crush on Billy Dee (long before Star Wars) 😉. Thanks! You two rock!

2023-06-29 23:06:09 +0000 UTCWhen I was a little boy in the mid 70's I repeated a very bad word I heard a neighbor boy say that I did not know was bad. My folks calmly but firmly let me know that word, and words like it were very hurtful to people, and if I used them I would grow up with no friends. A few weeks later this movie was on tv and they had me watch it in light of that incident. It moved me, had me crying and still does. On a lighter note, most people think of Billy Dee as Lando, I think of him as Gale Sayers.

2023-06-29 20:54:39 +0000 UTCFor more James Caan y’all should watch The Godfather. I just really want to see you two react to a gangster crime film (even though they might be too violent for you, I think y’all can hang lol). My favorite is “Goodfellas” from Martin Scorsese (one of the great directors).

2023-06-29 20:28:30 +0000 UTCI remember watching this when it was on TV back in 1971. It still makes me cry every.single.time. Hollywood couldn't have made up a story one tenth as honest and heartbreaking as the real life friendship of Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers if it tried. On a lighter note, nice to see Jay get a football movie!
