I've been making this scene for a few days, figuring out the elements and how I want them to interact. As well as the endless effort of dialing in the volume for render beauty and efficiency. I think I nailed it.
This is basically a better take on the Mushroom forest from when I made Spyro and Cynder, and like them I wanted to include an environment with the frog, because it's nice to have a place to put the people. And I've never made a waterfall feature before, so it was a good excuse to try it out.
Couldn't be ass'd to make plants, so I used some from Poly Haven, since they're high quality and CC0. I love Poly Haven.
The original idea was totally different; It was suppose to be a swamp/island made of stylized rocks and trees, with a pond in the middle and fog all around it. But the solution I found for that was not efficient and looked as Low effort as it was High effort. So it was basically 2 days of effort for something I hated. But then this idea comes along, and I get it done with less effort (some still wasted), and in the same-ish time.
I think it looks great, and it doesn't take 15 minutes to render a frame like the first idea
