Daxter in the AL

A good month it's been. Daxter is out, I'm excited to see what you all make with him, I finished the bar and will upload that when I figure out the mess of textures, and I can now file my taxes. The excitement never ends.

Speaking of excitement, there's some exciting changes to the rig and toggles that I want to elaborate on, since they aren't intuitive if you've never used them.

Firstly, there's a Spline IK for the tail, and some odds and ends to making the most of it. My recommendation is to either only use the FK (Which is default), or to roughly set the position you want with the FK bones, and then snap IK to FK and do the rest of your positioning from there.

Be sure to clear keyframes from the IK-FK Switch, otherwise it'll error when you snap it. It keyframes the switch whenever you keyframe the tail base. Can't stop that, sadly One of the advantages to Spline IKs is the ability to move the limb along the position of the rig. It's not universal, but it adds a layer of depth that really shines when you need it to.

Another change is the clothing toggle. There's no bone control or anything clunky like that, and is instead its own brand of fickle

If you toggle the Clothing in the Render, it toggles the bones that control them, the shapekeys that help with fur clipping, the dick, and the clothes themselves.

It sometimes fails to update the drivers, so just toggle the Render and the Viewport option a couple times and it should work. And if you hate it, delete the drivers. Specifically, I mean the Disable options. The Screen and the Camera Icons, not the eye.

All that aside, he's the usual ARP fanfare. Obligatory install Rig_tools.zip and proxy_picker.py before you use him, unless you've installed previously or have Auto Rig Pro. He's made in Blender Version 4.3.2
