I know the mystery was eating away at everyone, but worry no longer! The model I've been making is the Lombax; Ratchet!
I obviously took a bit of liberty with some of his design, biggest one being his feet aren't ugly and weird. His hand proportions are scaled back a bit, as well. And of course my version has a bigger butt than any games have portrayed.
Really, the important part was keeping it all proportional and not going too cartoony or realistic, and I think I towed that line pretty well.
While I like the GeoNode hair system in blender, it's not perfect. Interpolation hardly works, it's pretty resource intensive,
