That's right, we've somehow stumbled into the holiday season, which means it's time for the regular trip to the Retronauts Holiday Cabin in Parts Unknown. And since we've covered so many video game-related holiday topics over the last 13 specials, this time around we're doing something a bit different.
Yes, we're circling back to Captain N: The Game Master; it's a cartoon that has nothing to do with Christmas, but one very much designed to help kids write their Christmas lists. So heat up your favorite flavor of expired Game Fuel, and join Bob Mackey, Henry Gilbert, and Drew Mackie as the crew ventures forth into the toyetic tundra of Videoland.

I loved the first season as a kid. I was just at the right age so I had a crush on Lana- which helped me overlook some of the shows off model designs. The introduction of Gameboy kinda killed it for me. I hated him as a character. I guess he was the proto-Jar Jar Binks for me 😆

2024-12-23 18:14:42 +0000 UTCI never watched this show as a kid. But I did want to say that the non-action scenes soundscape reminds me a lot of early CD game cut scenes. Just noodling background music and not great voice acting with too much reverb on them.
