Hey there gang. Glad to see the podcast is still going so strong. If it's alright, I have something important I want to talk about here. In the earlier episodes of the podcast there was a lot of vocal support for trans people, which as a then-new listener I thought was amazing coming from some guys who I wouldn't expect to even mention it. I was questioning my gender back in 2019โI'm an out trans woman now, and things have changed an awful, awful lot since then in the news. I don't think anybody expects y'all to be a bunch of Jon Olivers banging the drum all the time, and I know Sean has no hesitation in talking about the shit government running South Dakota. But in a time where Kentucky is about to pass the worst anti-trans bill in a wave of them, I find myself listening to those old episodes a lot. In recent episodes (by pure coincidence) Harry Potter has come up a bunch, and it's genuinely innocuous, but combined with the unintentional silence, it stings a little. Longtime AFE fam knows y'all support trans people, and so I know that too. But new listeners might not, so please keep shouting out trans rights if you can. Love you guys. ๐
