Presidents Play Mass Effect 2 Part 13 Preview

Episode the ME2 Finale next week, I got to work on this immediately after 12 went up, but it could be 90 minutes long, or at least close to it; so as usual expect it by Friday.
And if I can break the illusion for a bit, do you guys think I should mod Kai Leng out or leave him in, either way is the character himself will be talked about.

2024-10-20 22:07:42 +0000 UTCI replayed ME2 recently, and finished the suicide mission last friday, and it is so validating to hear you so heavily criticize the capture of the normandy crew. I unironically think that sequence is what makes Battle of the Citadel better than the Suicide Mission. Regardless of the design of the suicide mission: picking your squadmates for tasks, combat with objectives other than kill everybody, awesome music and good firefights-- the Suicide Mission rests upon stakes that are completely manufactured and arbitrary, while the entire game builds up to the climax of Battle of the Citadel. As such everything else is cheapened, especially since the collector attack is the only plot-relevant mission in the game that you don't manually choose to engage with, and if you choose to engage with any missions afterward, your crew dies. Then, if you choose to get the crew right away, the game punishes you if you haven't done all the loyalty missions, and characters get arbitrary deaths on the suicide mission. I guess because Garrus didn't kill Sidonas, he can't shoot a gun right anymore, or because you didn't help legion the literal robot, it can't hack the doors properly. It's very game-y. Also, keep Kai Leng. That mf needs to be roasted to hell and back.
