Presidents Play Mass Effect 1 Episode 5

Barack said he'd do the side assignments on Feros, and he did, but there was actually nothing I could think of to talk about to make that part of this episode not boring so I just cut it out. The tower defense run against the Thorian Creepers wasn't any more enjoyable to write for either. This mission was rated poorly in the mission rankings for a reason, after all.
Relative to the rest of the series, this is an episode I wasn't happy with at the time, and I'm still not now. Thankfully I came up with the bit were can speak Japanese which happened spontaneously.

I think the one thing that was left out that I would’ve liked hearing the boys talk about was the weird dude at the end of the side missions area. The one that’s “just invoking the master’s whip.”

2025-12-12 22:22:02 +0000 UTCDonald speaking Japanese is genuinely one of my favorite recurring bits. This episode also had great rants all around about how boring and awful Feros is. It's nice to see the boys united a bit. Kind of a sleeper episode, imo.

Feros isnt interesting, but to give it some credit; the sidequests for the colonists can all be done in a single go because it's all down the line. The Hostle quest is the annoying one for me because its easy to miss, but you can still do it easily during the main mission. Honestly, I prefer the straightforwards sidequests over the record of hoops jumping you had to do over in Noveria (easy for Renegade players, but Paragon players have their patience tested there). *edit shoutout to that trump sniping comment because damn God watched this video and decided to fix that statement of his real fast :')

Episode 4 and 5 of ME1 as well as the ranking of Pokemon games, and Telltales Walking Dead Season 2 all came out in Jan. 2024. This was before I started slowing down. I was probably going through burnout at the time and didn't realize it

The Bondge joke is probably a top 5 bit for the entire series, exo security 1 and his brother exo security 2 is great, Obama getting jump scared, and I personally loved the third wall break about 10k subs.
