An important (and exciting) update for ad-free listening on Patreon!

Hi folks, 

Today, we are finally able to tell you that a much-requested feature will shortly be available on our Patreon. 

We are working with Patreon, who have given us early access to a new “multiple shows feature” – one of only six creators to be testing it. This feature allows us to better organise and share our shows and Patreon exclusives with you all.  

If you prefer to listen to ad-free episodes on a separate podcast player rather than Patreon, you will soon be able to subscribe to separate RSS feeds for whichever show you’re interested in.  

If you are currently subscribed to the “Rusty Quill Early Access Patreon Feed”, it won’t disappear from your podcast player. It will, however, become a feed only for The Magnus Protocol, with all non-Protocol audio being moved into new, different feeds. 

You will be able to find the new feeds underneath the membership tab on Patreon. These will include all of our Rusty Quill Original shows and Patreon exclusives. 

We will also be taking the opportunity to fix a long-standing issue with our Patreon uploads, where early episodes of The Magnus Archives and Rusty Quill Gaming don’t appear chronologically on the RSS feed. This was because these early episodes pre-date our Patreon account and were subsequently uploaded in batches. We can now backdate these uploads, adjusting the order in which they appear in the podcast feed, making it significantly easier to listen to these shows from the beginning. 

We will be making these changes in the coming days. Whilst we are aiming to keep disruption to a minimum, please be aware that you may temporarily lose access to certain episodes on the old RSS feed as they are moved to a new home on a different feed. Additionally, until we have finished the switch over, the feeds may not be in the correct listening order or feature all the episodes in a show. 

Once we have finished the updates on our side, we will let you know. You’ll be able to find the new RSS feeds showing up in the membership tab as we create and get episodes added to them. This is a brand new beta-feature that is still in early access. If you experience issues after the first few days, please send us a DM or email screenshots of your problem to mail@rustyquill.com and we can work with Patreon to resolve them.
