I almost never comment because I have a one year old and don’t have the time to fight with people who complain about TESD in comments on Reddit. But I LOVE this show. I watched the grocery store episode probably 4 times. I love the catalogue shows. I’ve been around so long I still have the TESD makin hay manuscript with a picture Walt drew of Q (my crush when I was young) in the front cover. TESD is perfect as-is.

If you guys found a veteran DM, it could maybe work, but I just don’t have the patience for how he runs the game. That being said, I don’t necessarily think it should be canceled. It seems like there’s plenty of people who enjoy it and I’m not entitled enough to demand a show be canceled because I’m not a fan. I’m still getting 45+ weeks of TESD content a year that I enjoy. We love you guys and you’ve turned the idea of a Patreon into an incredible value. Keep it up and keep in mind most of the people who spend their time complaining on the internet are pussholes.

If you want to know what the real feeling is about the various shows, maybe put a survey on here and mention it in the shows or a video - you need a good sized chunk of replies to get any idea of the real feeling amongst the subscribers as a whole. I know what shows I get excited about when they pop up, and I know they won't always be the same as the next person, but I do appreciate all the hard work and professionalism that goes into keeping this weekly thing going. Most importantly I genuinely think you are all trying your hardest to make good value content, and that is SO important. Once the tail starts wagging the dog, and you start listening too much to the vocal minority of subscribers rather than to what you want to do, you might start to lose what brought you subscribers in the first place.

I suspect the majority of us are very happy with the content each week, and never comment at all. The subscriber numbers are what count I guess. If they start plunging, then yeah, you need to think about changes. Prsonally, I am really impressed with the content we get for our money, with no missed weeks - it's pretty amazing what you've acheived and continue to achieve. I like the catalogue shows, the weird items you highlight are just a jumping off point for all kinds of talk.

I’ve been a subscriber since day 1 & I have to say I love the majority of shows.. tales, TANSJS obviously top tier but I also LOVE Sunday Drive, department store confidential, I sell comics, the TV guys… I enjoy mystery ink, PPP & the kiss podcast as well, I enjoy let’s all go toho the movies. The only shows I really don’t like are TESD&D & Sunday grind but I don’t hate them, if that makes sense, I still listen. With that being said, please don’t cancel Sunday Drive! I Love TESD, keep it going you guys!

Your great stuff wouldn't exist without being willing to try so many ideas.. If something doesn't work you guys move on and try other stuff no harm in that. I will agree TANSJS is the best. I like some shows better than others but never regret my $10. Just watching Jimmy the hair guy swing a bat was worth the money. That sport competition episode is an example of something I would really miss out on as a TESD fan if I wasn't on here.

By all means if your patreon numbers are significantly impacted alongside complaints start looking at making changes but until then just try to ignore the haters. The majority of TESD shows are going to "look stupid" to outsiders of TESD Town as it's the characters (and your friends) that everyone has grown to enjoy. To outsiders they just see a bunch of dudes laughing and ribbing each other. It's when you get to know the personalities that it all starts to click. The show formats are just a vehicle to push the banter and hilarious conversations exactly as you said. By all means make changes if you want but don't be shy of ignoring the haters as haters going to hate. I'm particularly fond of all the TESD Town formats and banter as it reminds me of my large group of friends of 20+ years who have the exact same conversations, laughter and shittalking. With life moving on and kids/marriage we tend to catch up less often but everytime we do it's just like you and your friends. Keep the content flowing in whatever format you want.

I don't know how anyone wouldn't like it. There are some shows I like better than others but I think it's unrealistic to love every show all of the time. D&D terrain can be expensive, but you guys are crafty enough to cook some up. You could have that water tower that Jeff mentioned in this episode as part of the campaign 🤷🏻♂️

I for one will be upset if some of these shows are axed. I get far beyond my money's worth and simply want the guys to continue, I came here long ago due to my love of TESD and that's why I will stay. I want them to have fun and simply be themselves sharing every aspect of their creativity, personalities, and connections. This podcast is what it became for being different than the swarm of content available, and why it means so much to so many. Every hit can't be a home run, but as long as TESD continues to swing for the fences, and are grateful for their fans, they'll get my money, laughs, and thanks for every step to the plate.

I would love to see Sundac or Sunday Jeff Warrior come back on the show. I enjoy the catalouge shows but I do understand how some would see it as lazy or "am I really paying for this?". The #2 rule for me is less Gitem the better, him hosting a show will be even worse than him being on a panel, he's trash

If it was called Catalog guys and you rotated from different types of catalogs instead of calling them different shows I bet no one would be complaining. Doing the comics one and one of the others would be fine as well, the comic one isn’t often anyways. Sunday Drive is a hard listen, the audio is never great and it’s usually an uninteresting subject. The best part of this episode was talking about future potential subjects. None of the shows are terrible and I enjoy the Patreon ever week.

I am not in love with every show, but I ALWAYS listen, to me it’s just an extension of TESD. I don’t see myself paying to watch two dudes grocery shop…. I am paying to keep the thing that I love, “TESD”, alive and productive.

I love the catalog shows. I don’t care for the TESD&D, so I stopped watching it. I didn’t complain about it or email Walt. It doesn’t affect my Patreon. Yes, Tales and TANSJS are great, but the first two Sunday Drives are among my all time faves. I love the TV Guide pods, too. Keep up the good work. If you’re a subscriber and don’t like a show, don’t watch it. Watch the ones you like. And keep Sunday special.

Just Walt and Sunday together are funny. If you drink too much alcohol you get drunk. Who else could say such a thing while putting on a that intellectual air? Love the idea of Bry trying new hobbies and getting flustered/frustrated because he’s not immediately good at whatever it may be.

Some good behind the scenes talk about Patreon shows and Walt's thought process. A lot of the shows, rise or fall upon the banter and all panel guests bringing their A game and being prepared and being fully engaged, not phoning it in.

But I understand that it's hard to co-ordinate the championships. I also think a rip-off of Taskmaster with Baron as the Taskmaster, Git' em overseeing tasks. It's a lot of film, but doesn't rely on people's schedules for the actual tasks. Just need one contestant and Git' em... who's always free. Then the reacting to people's tasks is just like Makin' Hay format which is TESD gold.
