Thoughts on hbo's Watchmen, 2 episodes in:
1.) on the basis of the Reznor/Ross score, alone, it's my favorite series of the year.
2.) Jeremy Irons is proof of alchemy - turns any second of screentime into utter gold.
3.) can't imagine there's a sufficiently big audience that steeped in Watchmen deep lore to really be interested, but i'm intensely appreciative that this exists, and dying to see where it goes.

It helps that Watchmen is one of the few comics it's socially acceptable for adults to admit to liking or talk about, due to it's reputation as genre defying/defining and being more mature.
