New Comic Poll - Occupation
Added 2020-12-15 04:31:55 +0000 UTCWhile I'm working on stuff to wrap up Con Artist, I'm doing some planning on the next story.
Our main character is a streamer/vlogger/YouTuber. They lose a bet and have to put body and traits up on the "Trade Market" for a year and document it.
My question for you at this juncture is "What do they stream?" Maybe they have a YouTube channel. A few different options this can go. This is going to alter their world and friends. What awaits them in the future. They may end in a different field than they start. Each gives us a world to play in.

There is a lot of story value in that type of person. But I think any off the options work. Great ideas though!

2021-01-01 15:56:19 +0000 UTCMy pick would be a Logan/Jake Paul style YouTube "prank" channel. 1) A person doing that type of channel would seem like the type of person who would take a bet where if they lost, would put their body and traits up on a "Trade Market" and would also seem like the type of person who would put their body and traits on a "Trade Market" and document the changes, probably for the possible increase in view count. 2) I actually really hate Logan/Jake Paul style "prank" YouTube channels. With "Con Artist", I didn't want Gwen to lose her old life as an artist/writer. I was happy she was getting to be a woman, since she had been wanting to be a woman, but I was worried she was just going to be stuck as a booth babe cosplayer and that's it. At least now, she's going to still be a artist/writer who just happens to also cosplay as well, which I think is pretty cool. In this new story, if the main character starts as something loathsome and awful as a Logan/Jake Paul style "prank" content creator, then I wouldn't be upset if he loses that life and changes personality-wise to stop being that type of person and content creator. If anything I would probably root for them. Maybe he'll change into a nicer person who makes/creates better and not awful content. So I feel that story-wise, making him an Logan/Jake Paul style YouTube "prankster" would make sense and fit the story better. And as a reader, I wouldn't care if he lost that life and would be more welcoming of the changes that happen to him and would hope that maybe he would become a better person after the changes. Also, what type of story would this be? It could be a redemption story, where the main character starts off as a Jake/Logan Paul style YouTube "prankster", but then gets changed and little by little becomes a better person and then ends up as a video game streamer or something cool and better than YouTube "prankster". Or it could be a comeuppance story, where the main character is an unredeemable jerk who's a Jake/Logan Paul YouTube "prankster" who then gets changed and then ends up as a video game streamer as a "Twitch thot" or as a girly girl YouTuber who does make up tutorials and clothing try on videos. Just pitching some ideas. Sorry it took so long to comment my thoughts. As you can tell, I had a lot to say and was typing this out a little at a time. Anyway, looking forward to this story and seeing what you decide to do with it.
