Poll: One-Shots vs. New Story
Added 2025-03-05 14:58:03 +0000 UTCThis is something I've been debating about. I had decided, but a technical glitch made me revisit the idea. For the last week of the month, I've been posting a segment of an ongoing comic for the last two years. (Dress to Thrill and Final Exam). I'm getting ready to start the next story, but the question is do you want a dedicated story, or would you rather have a series of one-shots and comic strips.
What's the difference?
New Serialized Comic Series
You would get two pages a month (four on an off month) that will contribute to a full complete story over time. The full story being between 12-24 pages. This is what we have been doing. I'll likely still one One-Shot a month for the bonus materials on Weds.
One-Shot Comics
One-shot comics would be two comics a month (four in an off month). They will be more self-contained. Maybe referring to characters, or a situation in a previous one-shot comic. But the comic strip/page has enough information to be more or less complete. Emotional arcs may carry over. But it could also be a solo transformations. Could be different characters. Or a few pages in a row that are connected. Overall its a looser format.
If we went this way, I may likely work on new dedicated stories in the background to be released sometime in the future. Some One-Shots may serve as a proof of concept for a story.

Thanks, I appreciate it! If it helps, I do find that it's oddly healthier to write multiple scripts at the same time. It's surprisingly common.
