2021-01-31 23:15:46 +0000 UTCI know exactly what you mean. It's very easy to get carried away and to just add more and more and never actually complete anything. But, as you say, sticking to your own self-imposed deadlines is good practice and something I do myself to avoid chasing perfection.

As a software developer, many of my independent projects end up languishing because I chase the “perfect” solution. With no deadlines to hold me down, eventually I lose interest because the scope overwhelms me and I move onto something else. I’ve been getting better recently, mainly by setting myself self-imposed deadlines, but I still struggle with it sometimes.
