Disposition: Passive predator. Relentless breeder. Unflinching presence.

Behavior and Abilities:

Moves with unnatural limb coordination and independent ocular targeting.
Uses victims not just for food, but for breeding, in the most grotesque way known.

Reproduction Method:

Amberization:
Victims are immobilized using a mucosal secretion that hardens into translucent amber-like resin. The resin binds them to surfaces or ground, leaving only the face exposed for airflow.
Implantation:
The toad then feeds live tadpoles into the immobilized host through the mouth or open wounds. The toad ensures at least partial consciousness is maintained.
Sustained Vivisection:
Over the course of several months, the tadpoles grow by consuming the host’s internal organs slowly. The toad’s mucus contains regenerative enzymes, keeping the victim alive despite starvation, dehydration, and catastrophic internal damage.

Death Timeline:

Initial paralysis: 2–5 minutes
Full amberization: 3 hours
Implantation: Within 12 hours
Functional consciousness of victim: 1–3 months
Final death: Often after 90+ days

Ecological Role:
Apex swamp predator. Population control mechanism for mid-sized fauna. Their breeding technique also creates nutrient-rich, corpse-fertilized spawning grounds.
