Menus won’t be fixes in space, that is not unreal engine, standing origin and decoupled pitch will come to this game

Even with version 1.0.4, standing origin reset does not work. I can now assign a key to reset the standing origin but pressing the key changes nothing. Since the MeganeX 8K (with Sboys3's excellent driver override) does not feature an origin reset, and gowrk's menus are not fixed in VR space (they move with HMD), the game remains difficult to play, since I must physically rotate and use trial and error to align controller movement with my headset. Please fix the standing origin reset function in this game.

Avoid using steamVR. remove dlls and run game first, set recommended options like windowed mode and disable any vsync related options, then put back dxgi.dll + openxr_loader.dll and remove openvr_api.dll. Start game from desktop icon form from steam, but no need to enter steamVR

This doesn't work at all for me. I am new to this so maybe it's something stupid. Do I need to run the game once without the mod first? Is this the right folder to extract to: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\GodOfWar? I'm using a Quest 3, I open Steam VR and try to launch the game and all i get is an extremely choppy theater mode. Graphics card is a RTX 3070ti

I think best visuals are when installing no TAA and no depth mod along with mine, https://github.com/illusion0001/Windows-Game-Patches/tree/main, and use profile J with DLSS performance, that was suggestions from one of the users, I tried it, and it's actually very sharp

When I enable DLSS and set it to Quality (or anything other than DLAA), one of my eyes shows shimmering while the other is fine. If I uncheck the “DLSS fix,” the environment looks okay, but a shimmering-like halo appears around characters. This issue only happens with DLSS. For context, I’ve updated the DLSS DLL and I’m using preset K. What’s the solution? One eye still has shimmer even with the DLSS fix enabled. My headset is a Quest 3.

Thanks for your hard work — you really brought the dream of playing God of War to life for us. I have to say, your performance is really close to Praydog and Luke Ross levels. With all your abilities, what I find strange is that you haven’t added the decoupled pitch option yet — it would be great if we could enable it when we want. Anyway, your work is amazing, and thank you for creating such a great mod.

I think someone mentioned that your headset has override origin, you can use it. As for hud, mod overlay has settings for hud, you can scale it and move it, mod overlay only visible on display not hmd

The button to set standing origin does not work (I cannot even see this special control window in my HMD - just on Desktop display). Is there an easy way to reset a game origin to my current view position and orientation? I am using MeganeX, which has a smaller FOV, so items (like your special control settings) on the edge of its screen cannot be seen. I was able to start the game and play a little but, when returning, I cannot set the correct camera/character position. By the way, a number of MeganeX 8K users like me are using Sboys3's driver override to inject OpenXR into SteamVR. Even though SteamVR is running, I can play UEVR games using OpenXR option, and R.E.A.L. games run in OpenXR (with a warning about SteamVR). However, I cannot use your OpenXR version with this setup - SteamVR ends up crashing. I must use your OpenVR version with GoWR.

I have epic games version primarily, run game first without mod, it needs to compile shaders, if this stage not happening remove shader cache and start over

For me the epic version not working too...black screen and only hear the sound... In the VR section for openVR not loaded : failed to create swapchain.

Hi!, The game doesn’t work for me with the OpenXR mod, the screen stays black. With OpenVR it does launch, but the image looks a bit doubled and it’s very uncomfortable to play. Is there any solution? Thanks.

iPD is up to openxr I am not calculating it manually. I saw reports from users are using vrto3d with late sync

god of war only works if sync mode is on very late, if not It's not the same image it both eyes, but on very late the distance between the two eyes is too far apart. Any fix? so bassically any way to adjust seperation?

I just got this mod setup with VRto3D so I could play on my 3DTV and have to say its great in 3d. Played the opening part (getting back to the house) and was blown away. Been waiting to buy the game until we had mod support. THANK YOU, i can finally play on the PC the way its meant to...in 3D!! Can't wait to play more of it.

Spin fast in a sense you move head fast or camera with a joystick? Most likely effective you experience is application spacewarp as I do not submit depth buffer to openxr it does not perform well when you fast motions, however this tech not really designed to recover all data even with depth buffer, you can try decreasing quality to level when frame rate will be real, I doubt you can do that with AW but god of war easy

I've tried this mod and the AW2 mod and they both have the same issue. When spinning the camera fast the sense of depth disappears. This makes the game very hard on the the eyes and unplayable IMO. Doesn't happen with LR mods so I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm using VDXR and have a pretty high spec PC so frame rate is good.

Is the OpenVR version the only fix that works with Steam? Also I cannot seem to disable first person mode by pressing recentre on SteamVR (using steam). Any help please?

Thanks for the new release. Unfortunately the game still crashes for me with the steam version like the previous pre release version as well. Does this version also support Steam VR in combination with VRto3D? Because thats the setup I currently use. I always thought that Steam VR can support OpenXR as well as OpenVR.

oh I thought you doing the first one 2018 GoW. Its said to play that first as the build on top of each other story wise etc. otherwise the experience is diminished so the online recommendation. lets wait for the first one before playing this one.

Hi Mutar, thanks for your hard work. I've got a problem. I've got the steam version of GODR, playing through Virtual desktop with Quest 3 . Whenever The santa Monica splash screen appears , the game crashes . I've applied the same tweaks that you mentionned for AW2 . I don't know what to do. thanks for your answer.

I like these updates, would be cool to know some of the games you tried but ditched, I know Witcher 3 was not a good experience witch is a shame coz thats screaming for a VR port. But any other games that just werent worth the time and effort. That way we can cross off our personal wish list GOW soubds promising though. Cant wait to see what you do.
