This month I have a collection of aquatic TF studies for your viewing pleasure. ^o^
Wanted to explore with these some unique and strange TF concepts I had on the mind awhile back. The final arm ultimately ended up being used in my Shark Gal's character design!
Sequence 1
Essentially with the idea here, the skin webbing would lengthen and merge between the fingers and then extend out from the finger tips forming a flipper structure. Not really sure I would still go with this approach though, apposed to the other possible ways to do it that make much more anatomical sense. :P
Sequence 2
It's very rare to see the complete formation of a Blowhole in TF art, and I wanted to try my hand at it here. Still an odd approach to it though and probably not 100% anatomically correct, but it's believable enough to get a pass. :P
(Bonus) Sequence 3
The original image was colored, but unfinished and idk why I choose to color it blue back in the day. Best guess is I was trying to do a skin tone transition from peach to black, but who knows? I prefer the B&W version personally. It was fun to bring out my colored pencils again to finish it up though. ^_^
Hope you enjoyed these interesting takes on TF processes. While not being completely accurate, they can still be fun to explore! ^o^
Thanks again and see ya at the next one! ^_^
