Cover Pencils, Delegates and Delegation

This will be another one of those covers where you can confidently say "this scene was never in the book."
The penciling isn't done. The corner above Schlock's hand needs to be tightened up a lot, and all the architecture lacks detail in the horizontal plane.
The scan has been post-processed a bit so the very pale red and blue pencil comes out dark enough that you can see what's going on.

The delay on putting out books in the past was in large measure because creating the bonus stories was a lot like cranking out an extra 6 to 8 weeks of comics. The new model, in which we have artists who are not me take over the heavy lifting, shaves *months* from book preparation. I can write, co-write, or simply edit and advise the story, and then pay to make the art happen.
2018-04-12 19:42:47 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie, when you posted your schedule for getting all the physical books out in two years, my first thought was “that’s a lot” followed swiftly by “this is just like saying I’d have my masters done a year and a half ago.” But you really are just booking it, aren’t you? Respect.
