Added 2023-05-16 23:45:16 +0000 UTCi realized i haven't been uploading finished pages here again, mainly because i haven't been keeping to a schedule since i resumed updating the comic. nope, just... putting them up right when i finish them! feels nice
but i'd like to get back into the habit, especially since MOIRA is an all-tiers thing. so here are the most recent pages since i broke my hiatus!
for those of you who are new and unfamiliar:
i have a webcomic. it's called MOIRA. it's hosted on tumblr; you can read from the start here. i've been working on it since may 2017! (it's almost the comic's birthday...!!! wtf i just noticed when checking) it went on a year+ hiatus for Reasons, but i've been wanting to work on it again since settling in after my latest move. luckily, i just recently found a new brush that i REALLY like to use and happens to suit the comic's look enough that i was willing to transition to it.
on that note: it finally happened! i've completely moved over to CSP for the comic. took a while, but i've been using it more in the last year and feel comfortable enough. plus like i said, have a brand new brush that feels similar enough to the old one (but even better!) that i felt confident using it.
obviously, this has influenced the look of the comic a fair amount. messier, but i do like it more i think. the comic had been getting more... refined, maybe, but also restrictive and stiff. especially moving forward, i want to keep things feeling fun, loose, and dynamic. i think the sort of sketchy lines suits the comic anyway. even more than that, it'll keep reminding me not to stress too hard over making things look "perfect" and just try my best and do what feels enjoyable. that was the philosophy that got this comic started, so i don't want to forget it.
regarding the contents of chapter 4, im extremely excited. i need to flesh out a bit of the script, i'm foggy on what happens in the middle, but i know exactly how the last scene is going to go and i'm dying to finally move this story forward. thanks to everyone who's stuck around long enough to see it's revival!
