This is the announcement I’ve wanted to make since the moment this project started… With mixed emotions, I’m also announcing my retirement as an animator. Tifa vs Scarlet will be my final film. Some of you may have seen the writing on the wall, and I hope this doesn’t come as too much of a shock — but what I have left is my true, Final Magnum Opus.
Needless to say, this last project has taken a lot out of me — mentally, physically, financially, and basically every way possible. I think what kept me going during the months I was working on it… was knowing this would be my final film.
As I close the book on this chapter of my life, I reflect on the very unique legacy I’ve had on the internet — and every artist dreams of leaving behind a final masterpiece. This one is mine. The final runtime is Over 15 Minutes Long, Composed of 344 Unique Camera Shots, 27,624 Frames, and over 1,700 hours of work...I could never of imagined this project would reach the scale that it did, but I knew it was important to create a film that reflected the passion you guys have for these two amazing characters.
I’ve had the honor of receiving fan mail from almost every corner of the globe, and that is a privilege beyond words. When I was alone in my bedroom during Quarantine, teaching myself Blender, I couldn’t have imagined things would unfold the way they did. But like much in life, it was all very gradual.
I've kept this largely secret, but I've been suffering from a chronic pain that gets a little worse every day. I physically couldn’t put myself through this again, even if I wanted to. My computer and I are both sufficiently tapped out. I suspect if people knew how much I was sacrificing for each film, I don't think you guys would want me to keep going either. Please accept my retirement with equal grace. I love you guys so much, and as I mentioned on my last post, I'll miss you all very much.
For now, I can confirm that the release date for Tifa vs Scarlet will be August 15th 2025. I’ll have a few more posts to share on Patreon, including the alternate endings, which will be Patreon exclusive.... but otherwise, this is as far as I make it. I’ll share my final post as KOSMIC on DeviantArt, After the Premiere— which will be a little going-away party / Spoiler Discussion, for all of us to share the space one final time. We can all post beer emojis, good vibes, and celebrate a true farewell.
There are so many more ideas I’ve had and stories I would have loved to tell, but at the end of the day, it’s crucial to know when to walk away from something. What’s around the corner is an entirely new world — one that will be shaped by new people. If my work didn’t inspire a single person, then I’d consider my career a failure. I hope that’s not the case.
I’ll elaborate more on why I’m leaving in my final post — but I’m sure it’s not hard to imagine why. However, for now, we have a very special film to look forward to.
At the end of it all, I just want to say thank you — for watching, for caring, for sticking around through the years. I never set out to chase fame or followers; I just wanted to make something that didn't exist. I’m walking away with no regrets — just a deep sense of peace, pride, and gratitude. As I've said many times, thank you for being here, and sharing this small section of the internet with me.
More than anyone I want to thank and celebrate with my Patreon Members. You guys have been so patient, and you've had so much faith even when times were quiet. That speaks volumes, and every ounce of your passion has found its way into this project. Thank you ALL, SO, SO MUCH. We're about to experience something truly special.

JankRobo, I'm sorry for the late response! But I couldn't just say "GG's Chat!" Thanks for the comment, a message this delicate takes time to really respond to appropriately. Even though I'm at a loss for words....I'll do my best Let me just start off by talking about you Jankrobo, it's very apparent to me that you are a deeply intelligent person. I'm sure there is nothing you're not capable of doing. You owe it to the world to share your gifts. In the same way my work inspired you, I have no doubt you have the tools to pass your gifts onto something or someone else too. <3 Sometimes I just see myself as the embodiment of you guys. Your Passion, Your investment, Your Creativity. I didn't design Tifa, I didn't make the Character Models, I didn't write and compose the Music. I didn't have the incredible imagination that created Final Fantasy, But I am the person who can bring it all together. and I do it, because the voice that we share, and the vision that is ours, needs to exist. We need to be able to point to something and say "THAT'S IT!" I'm sure me and you can talk all day, and I could talk about this film for hours, but every creative decision, action and moment, is a story in itself. A day in the life, a puzzle to be solved, and a moment to be experienced. I want to write so much, more but we'll have more time to talk in the future. 2025-08-04 12:56:32 +0000 UTCTo be honest I was not entirely sure whether to post this now or at your final post but decided now just in case I had much more to say when I read that final post of yours and to not make already lengthy post potentially unbearably lengthy if it's not already but if I end up saying everything I can say here even after reading the final post I would rather give you this message sooner rather than later: When a true artist, a creator, a craftsmen such as yourself premiers his Magnum Opus, his shining star, his masterpiece then decides to take his final bow and leave the stage the goodbyes the enraptured applauding audience and fans give is that of granted yes, sadness for this farewell but also believe me when I say even more so an overwhelming sense that of gratitude, and appreciation in their respectful goodbyes to an amazing animator, creator, choreographer and story teller as they move on to as you say the next chapter of their lives as they generously bequeathed us something that will have an impactful legacy for years to come. I will not be surprised if millions eventually will see this work and many within those million are inspired to create themselves. One detail I truly appreciate, and immensely respect is that you gave us consistently within all your updates for this project was small insights and behind the scenes look on the editing process, some 3d models, voice actors, and with such passion which magnifies to me and hopefully many others the deep appreciation and acknowledgment on how much intense blazing passion went into the making of this. Then there is also when you share personal turmoil, stress, and tiredness while making this that I can only admiringly picture you soldiering forward with determination and passion which magnifies the respect, admiration, and appreciation for your hard work. I hope also that when you needed it the most, recalled the support of fans which I am honored to count myself among them, to the very last edit, the last shot, the last frame, and the moment of any massive video production even if these words were not said out loud in the moment the words that mark the end of triumphant end of filming “That’s a wrap!” With each shared milestone with each shared detail for this what is to be a masterpiece of art you exceeded expectations where we were already excited, amazed and no doubt knew the video was going to be cinematic art. I know myself hopefully also with the majority of your fans through what you shared we the knew the video was already going to be a cinematic masterpiece but with each update again and again and again you were surprising us immensely and happily so in that the video was expertly being crafted in getting better and better with layers upon layers of amazing you just kept adding onto. Then soon even before the video is out you have already stunned and amazed me and hopefully all your fans as we read piece by piece through your updates leading up to your accumulation of what your amazing work over these many months of what you have posted: “the final runtime is Over 15 Minutes Long, Composed of 344 Unique Camera Shots, 27,624 Frames, and over 1,700 hours of work” and that when you were making this what will be a masterpiece of art you never stopped or held back in making it the best it could possibly be despite everything as you said ”that taken a lot out of me — mentally, physically, financially, and basically every way possible.” I give an early standing ovation of pure admiration to that heroic passionate creative determination alone. 👏👏👏 Whatever chronic pain you’re going through I can’t even breach the unknowable depths of that knowledge at the moment but I can with everything that I am in mind, body and spirit still wish you as much deserved rest that you need and hope you the very best for whatever is to come next within the next chapter and subsequent chapters in your life now matter what shape or form they maybe. That I hope with everything that I’ am in mind, body and spirit that no matter what the entirety of your life will be I hope will be the deservedly good one, happy one in every shape and form possible in everything you do and all the people you know and meet, and a life in which one can take pride in knowing you added something you can take immense pride in that is superbly amazing to this world and continue to do so in other ways. A quote comes to mind from one of my all time favorite authors Sir Terry Pratchett and even though it might not be exactly about this topic I feel in a way it still applies here as you take a step into your next chapter of your life: “No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.” Even though you are stepping into the next chapter of your life, your life as an amazing artist, creator, story teller, and animator even if not active will go on until the true last final audience member who is about to watch any of your videos presses the play button on any of your videos for the last time, until those who were inspired to create after seeing your videos have their works read, watched, or seen for the final time themselves but then those who were inspired by those works will create their own in which others will be inspired in turn into an inspiring ripple extending to infinitum. I will say and share this personally an impact you have already had in your clear passion in the making of this Magnum Opus of yours that will be no doubt a cinematic masterpiece of animation and what you revealed, what you have gone through, and now what you are currently going through to make your Magnum Opus has resparked the creative passion in me that has been a good amount neglected on my part for a while. More so lately over these past months after reading your updates I have been finding myself brainstorming throughout my day ideas of scenes, story elements, characters, plot lines and events for when I soon log back into my old CeltX account: a free online writing software for scriptwriters, screenplays and scripts I haven’t touched in months as well as outlining story ideas and concepts to see where I can take them, scripts, screenplays? short story(ies), novels if the ideas get big enough and I hope to have at least half as much of a blazing fire of a passion within me that you clearly did in the making of your Magnum Opus in the making of my own stories to see them through to completion to the best versions of these stories I can make no matter what. So, thank you for absolutely everything you have done here, the amazing legacy you no doubt will have, the inspiration you will create in this world, take immense pride in what you accomplished here, and if there is one last story one, last work of art I wish for you to tell or craft it’s that of the one of your own life that you determine the course of and tell yourself by living it and with everything that I am in mind, body and spirit hope it is an amazing one Kosmic/MonsterMash/MonsterSmashGraves!🎆 🎆👏👏👏👏👏👏 🎆🎆 - Sincerely, Jankrobo P.S: there is a fictional story and character I made tied behind this username of mine and you may have inspired the continued crafting of said story.

Focusing on the positives, lets just be thankful that you managed to complete the project before the pain became too much. I too will retire from writing my stories within the next couple of years and I just hope I manage to go out on the same amazing high that you are leaving your profession/hobby of choice on. Here's to you Kosmic.
