2021-05-29 17:37:56 +0000 UTCHi! As for mistakes, when talking about the Western Sahara (precisely the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic), you mention that it's a separatist movement from Morocco. It is not. Long story short: What happened is that Morocco invaded the Western Sahara after Spanish rule (taking the opportunity as Franco was dying). Western Sahara was never part of Morocco as it had been Spanish since the 19th century until 1976 and Morocco was a French-Spanish protectorate until 1956. The actual UN position is that Western Sahara should hold a referendum among the Sahrawi people to decide between independence and being part of Morocco. The United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) was established in 1991, but Morocco makes the referendum linger so they can have more Moroccans living in Western Sahara territory and therefore win the referendum. Moroccan right to rule Western Sahara is disputed and many countries either in Africa or around the world do not recognise it. in fact just two countries recognise Moroccan rule over the Western Sahara: Morocco and the US. Anyhow, personally I prefer pink.
