the cherry blossoms are blooming
and my heart is at peace
i am still 14 but
my height faster than time
the cherry blossoms fall prettier
each time my neighbor in the house
across the street walks outside.
his name spells a month
i hate the sweaty summer but
i like June.

he held out his bottle to me
my mind buzzed like a bee
i sip and sapped
thinking of his lips and mine
drinking from the same holy grail

the snow bites my toenails
as i walk a lonely road
the snow is cereal

tomorrow, i will wear boots.
