Announcement: Patreon Rates

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone for being SO supportive of my work both here and on Twitter & AO3. I wouldn’t still be writing without knowing that you darlings are still reading my work. 🙇🏻♀️♥️ I just have something a little personal to share with you guys.
As most of you know, I’ll be going for an exchange term in the summer in Korea. I’m saving up for that since my parents have no exactly been supportive about its costs. On top of that, utilities and water bill at home have surged like crazy because of the Ukraine and Russia war… costs which I help my family to cover. Also, due to Covid-19, I’ve lost my part-time job since the bookstore closed down in February.
It’s been a heavily financially straining few months.
I did some costs tabulations and at the moment, my monthly rates of $4/month of Patreon is stretching me thin, since it’s my only source of income at the moment. I looked around other fellow active content creators and wow, I was surprised since some of their lowest rates are around $6 - $8 per month! ㅜㅜㅜ
Because of this, I’ve been considering potentially raising my monthly subscription to $5, or perhaps $6 per month, but ah… I’m scared. I don’t wish to be greedy—I just need to get by. I feel very troubled.
So I want to ask for your opinions!
I’m going to keep working hard and give content as much as I am able, but times are changing and I need to keep up. That being said, I’d love your input. How much do you think my monthly Patreon contents could be worth? ㅠㅠㅠ 🙇🏻♀️ If I do raise it, it will be from next month onwards.
